All of a sudden my Core/Hybrid boots up with this error message! I tried running AV Wizard but it still shows up. Anyone seen this or have any ideas how to fix it? Couldn't really see anything in the logs, but I may not have been looking in the correct logs. I believe from what I could tell this is happening in the call to SetupAudioVideo.sh or what ever gets called right after that.

thanks,
Kevin

P.S. Not sure if this is caused by apt-get update or not.

what happens when you run Start_X.sh ? Have you looked at /var/log/Xorg.0.log?

As far as I could tell /var/log/Xorg.0.log looked ok, I'll try again when i get home from work.

Thanks,
Thom

Cleared the logs and restarted. Still get the XDisplayOpen() failed error. It looks like it happens in the call to SetupAudioVideo. There is nothing in the xorg.conf.log file at this point.  So I went to a command prompt and killed the SetupAudioVideo process (don't ask why I decided to do this) after doing this the system finished booting up and the everything seemed fine. Each time I boot the core/hybrid I have to do this.
