It should be pulling the names from your MD names in web admin. Can you change them there?

Awesome!! Renamed the device from the tree view. Quick reload router and boom (insert best John Madden voice here) I get actual names instead of Generic PC as MD.

Yes, in webadmin under "Devices -> Media Directors" just rename your MD's. Airplay uses these names ...
