I'm planning to add one or two MDs to our house. Since there seem to be a pile of dirt cheap mini PCs based on the Atom platform I'm wondering if anybody have successfully done this? I'm thinking not to use the built in 10" or so screen nor use the built in keyboard - but simply to attach it to the back side of my TV or big screen and run it in the same way as my AsRock 330 ION. Are there any models that work better or are there some to stay away from?

i run my laptop in clam shell mode sometime and the only thing i would warn you about is heat because some computers pull in air from the keyboard and in clam shell mode it cant do this.
