Hi all,
I have a big collection of classical music. I would like to access and choose my music in the orbiter by composer because that makes sense. I see in the webadmin/mulrimedia browser that linuxmce can see and recognize the composer/writer attribute in the mp3 files. How can I make that the Orbiter has an extra sort and search parameter 'composer' ?
Thanks for helping me.

How is your music tagged? I would expect that to be in the Artist attribute, not Composer (Composer/writer being intended mainly for movies). However, any attribute that is in the media should be available also to sort by.

merkur2k,

of course the composer is an artist, but s/he is not the performer, so using composer as a type is valid and should be done.

dirkcolaert,

open a trac ticket that you would like to see composer as a sort order. It would be a feature request for 1004 in Media Playing.
