[Solved} Computing Menu - Empty
« on: October 12, 2011, 12:11:22 am »
I was playing around with my 8.10 hybrid core trying to remove unused entries in the computing menu. I must have done too good of a job because now the installed programs and bookmarks in the computing menu are both empty. How can I get it back to the default configuration?

Thank you

tschack909's response below solved the problem.

oh boy. um.. you'll need to grab the computing entries from a running system.

Yup, I'm screwed. If only there was someone on these forums who would share those entries and locations to put them with me.

Sorry, I've been fried for the last few days...

You should try the following:

Go into the web admin

Select sqlCVS Diff from the Advanced Menu

scroll down to the QuickstartTemplate and QuickStartCategory tables in the DCE repository, check those...

Run the diff.

you should see your deletions... select them, and click revert.

See if this fixes your situation.
