Very exciting news!

Is a reinstall needed or does Update/upgrade suffice?

I would be interested in the answer to this question also, although I do aim to reinstall anyway in order to test the installation procedure/initial setup.

Cheers,
Matt.

Wow that's great news to hear ,i would like to know is it stable like snapshot 24255 , i've just completed the reinstall of the system with all the tweaking and i wouldn't try the RC if it's not stable .

Gratz to all involved to the project

Backup your system using Clonezilla, and please try the RC out so we can give feedback to the devs. You can then restore your old system if you wish.

Cheers,
Matt.

I'd love to fax you the beer in front of me; it's an Old Stock Ale 2011 from North Coast Brewing. But since I didn't have your fax number I was forced to drink it myself.  ;-)

I 2nd this

I feel fresh installs on real hardware is very important for Q/A
There have been far many more Virtual Installs Wink than installs on real hardware.
Lets try to dig up any gremlins that wont show their faces on a apt-upgrade or in a virtual environment.

just my 2cents

I agree, the more tests the better.
