Hi guys,

I would like to ask you if 8.10 is relatively stable these days?

If it is, I would like to give it a go but if it isn't I'd like to wait until an RC is launched as I don't believe I'll have the knowledge to fix something if I run into trouble.

Best regards

D

My advice would be to take the plunge and have a go, using the latest 810 beta snapshot. Nobody is going to tell you that LMCE is easy, it is very complicated due to the number of things it can do. In my opinion it has never been unstable, yes it may take a while to get it the way you want it, but once that is achieved it's very stable. Plus you may discover important bugs along the way, and then you can help fix them; even if it's just by reporting it.

Just search the wiki and forums as much as possible with any problems, and ask if you don't find the answer. Or, you can ask questions in IRC (freenode #linuxmce).

Don't forget you can try it out on VirtualBox first if you would be more comfortable with that.

Cheers,
Matt.
