Hi,

I was looking at the Xorg.log files and found that the "UseEDID" is set to false.
Is it on purpose?
EDID would provide you the native resolutions of the display which is interesting for auto configuration or fail safe configuration.

Yes, it is on purpose, because of some monitors with wrong EDID data and because nVidia enforces the EDID values so strictly that we can't override them while EDID is enabled.
