Hi

Was looking at improving my onboard GPU (to play 720p media smoothly) on my B202 Media director and stumbled upon this

http://www.gmabooster.com/download_linux.htm

Does anybody have any experience with it?

Would it be possible to run it on a MD?

Hmm... not tried it. But since it merely overclocks the GPU I would guess that it will be possible to run it. Try it and let us know!

it lists "Intel® 2008Q4 graphics package" as a Prerequisite

How does that equate to the intel drivers currently used under linuxMCE 1004?

Well I tried this out and it runs fine, activated with a single command so it would be easy to add to a startup script.

However it doesn't make enough of an improvement to play 720p video smoothly.

Looks like I'm buying a Broadcom Crystal HD

You will need to add support for the Broadcom CrystalHD in order for it  to work properly.
