MythTV looses focus and you have to click on it, as noted in previous posts. I have noticed you can alt-tab to get focus back. A bogus Xterm screen is listed when you alt-tab through the screens. What is a bogus xterm and is that why mythtv looses focus. If you toggle to the Bogus Xterm screen you get stuck nd have to kill the x session with ctrl-alt bkspc.

That was an workaround used for an issue with icewm. We are using now xfwm which works fine without what workaround. The fix will be available in 43 release, which will be released this week.
