KDE installed in a matter of 30 mins or so.  After I did the update and upgrade, then ran the LMCE ICON, install has been going for over 5 hours and counting, is that normal ?

Justdeb - don't think any of these fixes/work-arounds have been incorporated as I am re-installing now and getting the same with the latest snapshot 23625.  Still working on it.

FYI,

I used the 23616 snapshot, and I was able to complete my installation. The only problem I noticed was that the DHCP server wasn't configured with a range of IP's to distribute. Beyond that, everything appears to be good.

Thanks for checking the DCHP problem, noticed it in 1004.

Hi Rukus,

i have just finished the install and updates, but have not run the linuxmce icon yet. Did you change the nvidia script before or after you ran the linuxmce icon?

Regards

I didn't have to change anything, everything just worked as normal. I just clicked on the linuxmce file on the Desktop, and rebooted.

Hi Rukus,

Many thanks.... i will just reinstall the dvd and just run the linuxmce icon. By the sounds of it a number of bugs have been resolved.

So, one is supposed to have the system connected to the internet and run apt-get update & upgrade before clicking the LMCE icon?!
