What kind of PCI NIC (network card) are you using?
« on: December 19, 2010, 10:52:26 pm »
The reason I ask is because I require one with the following features...

1. NOT Realtek chip
2. PnP with LMCE 8.10
3. Gigabit

Any information would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Matt.

That's great, thanks.

Does the second NIC (being used for the internal network) on the core need to be PXE? I assume not, as it is not actually PXE booting?

Thanks again,
Matt.

I'm looking at this one http://www.ebuyer.com/product/78400

I have seen some reports of "speed issues" by Ubuntu users, anyone have any personal experience using this particular card with LMCE?

You do not need to take PXE into consideration on the core. PXE is only relevant for the diskless MDs.
