Hey there,

I followed the steps on http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Play_Games_on_LinuxMCE to a T. I added my roms into the mame folder through the samba share. my core/hybrid detected the games and attached the images accordingly.

But when I select a game and then click "play" the screen freezes for a second, and then I am booted back to the main orbiter screen and nothing happens.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Hi dubchamp26,

Yes it happens to me as well - though not on all ROMs. Some seem to work, but not all.

The ROM files seem to be fine (work in windows) but I have the same experience as yourself on my current build. I'm pretty sure some that are now failing have worked in the past though. Not really sure how to troubleshoot....hopefully someone else can suggest something...?

We package the latest versions of MAME.

the ROMs for different games change over time, and you need to make sure your ROMs match up with what the latest version of MAME requires, otherwise they will not work.

I honestly can't answer that, because I can't talk about ROMs for any games you may legally have or not.
