Hi all,

I finally got my Foxconn NT330i MD to PXE boot.

However after the boot process the kubuntu bar will appear, move twice and then the MD doesn't do anything anymore.
Do you have any suggestions on what the problem could be?
Thanks in advance!

Regards,

Chris

Look in the wiki.

already followed everything in the wiki that how i got the NIC recognized in the first place. I then had some problems with PXE boot, this was solved too. I can't quite seem to figure out what the problem could be now...

If you've got a spare hard disk and CD drive kicking about, try and install an ordinary kubuntu 0810 desktop on it, see what happens. I'm not suggesting this as a fix, but it might help diagnose the problem.

Looks like a very nice unit by the way!

I received my 330i yesterday and got it up and working  Grin

Please find my notes in http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Foxconn_nT330i Including how to overcome the kernel panic and splash screen lock up.

Now the only thing is how to get acceleration up and running as HD is "no go" yet.

Hi Chris90,
How long did you wait?
My initial setup took long time too. I learned to be patient with LMCE since then. Just let it be for a while, walk away for few hours (i did it overnight but I am sure its much shorter than that).
Also remember, system boots to VGA. If your set up different than VGA, follow wiki for holding down a key which I forget now. If you get a kernal panic at the end then, it's a different matter. This is just my $0.02
