It seems the recommended source of 0810 is the snapshots located here: http://linuxmce.iptp.org/snapshots/

It is not obvious which snapshot an 0810 newbie should use.  Apparently some might not be working at all, while others are in pretty good shape.  Please help others make an informed decision about what snapshot to use and sharing your experience by answering these questions:

1. What 0810 snapshots have you used?

2. If you have used more than one, please explain why you switched from one snapshot to another.

3. Have you tried any snapshots that wouldn't install or had some other major problem?

4. Which snapshot do you recommend 0810 newbs to use?

Thanks for your feedback!

Alex

I seemed to have better luck with some older snapshots.

Lately a lot of quirks came up that did not happen originally in the one I used a few weeks ago.

I do wish md5 hashes would be posted to show I got both a good download, and a good burn.

Anyway the above may now be moot. Now I have just put in a separate lan card to eliminate possible problems with having 2 gigabit lans built into the board.

If I still have problems, I'll do Halloween piece and haunt the irc victims.

Using the snapshots, though not always perfect, allow us to help the developers to test additions/corrections of the code.  If you come across a problem with a snapshot it should be reported.  This version is still in beta so there are bound to be problems from time to time.
