MythTV problem
« on: October 24, 2010, 01:53:37 pm »
Hi All,

I have a problem whit MythTV, it is saying "error:Mythtv is using all inputs, but there are no active recordings ?" and after OK it saying that MYTH tv backed has a problem and making reset.

Clear DVD install, last snapshot 23357.

Tv tuner is Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-USB2, every thing made during initial set-up.

What can be wrong where to start looking?

Thanks

EDIT:

Now when im turning tv screen of mythtv is waking up but nothing is happening

in logs mythbackend.log i can see some thing like this:

after i installed a usb-cam and a second tv-tuner, i get the same message.
turns out that after every reboot the videoX of the device has changed,
for example lets say the tv-tuner is on video2, after the reboot its on video1.
maybe this is whats been messing things up for you too.

maybe there is a way to prevent the system from doing this but i don't know how,
any suggestions are welcome.

In admin page its shown as video0 in MythTV config I have set up it as Analog V4L.

But no luck in getting it to work :(

Is here any one who made that tuner to work....

Try changing the Analog V4L option to MPEG-2.

Hi,

That was solution, but i had to delete manually default capture card and add new one MPEG-2.

Now I need to fix channels and find solution for EPG.

Did some one used epgDownloader to work whit LinuxMCE ?

Hi,

I hit the same issue as RayBe, added next 2 Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-USB2 cards. Ubuntu see them as /dev/video0,1,2 and mce and myth 0,1,4

I have fix this in force way:

1. Fixed input in mythconverg/capturecard database do /dev/video which is correct

2. Move as root from /usr/pluto/bin to hat ever file CaptureCard_Setup_PVR_USB2.sh ( name of that file is in admin page /device tree/ your card/ setup script)

3. Change input in admin page as abow Block Device to Yours

4. In mythTV setup delete all cards and setup manually.

That fixed issue for me, hope helps someone else.

If some one from Mce gods could look at this and confirm would be grate.
