Okay, I think we can all agree that UI2 needs some work to say the least.  By now, a lot of you know me from what I've done with a few devices here and there and the Telecom subsystem.  Now I want to work on the UI, but I'm not great at creating textures.  I also know that there are talks of a whole new system for out UI, but that effort has yet to go anywhere so let's fix what we have, let's make it pretty, usable, and functional.  Whoever has ideas and the ability to create the textures post here, reach me by PM, or catch me in the dev channel and let's get cracking.

Hey los93sol,

I worked through Thom's screencasts and is busy with the Mainscreen at the moment and then work from there.
This is still the starting phase. Any advice or pointers are welcome.

Hi All,

My apologies...... I realised today this thread was for the UI2 skin and not UI1.

great work DragonK,

love ur concepts,
if i would have to choose i would say:
- pick the colorsheme from the buttons "Misc" and "Telecom" from your last design and give the other buttons the same tone (nice earthly tones)
- for the background i would choose a very dark version of the buttons, for example the background for the "Telecom" button would be   very dark brown
- pick the layout from your main screenconcept dd.27 aug 2010

Los93sol,

Im done with the UI2 mockups for the mainmenu, media menu, media movies and lights.
Just to give you an idea of what I got in mind. These are just rough drafts so there is much room for changes and improvement.

I'm out for the day. (Gotta pay some attention to the wife  Grin ) So I'll get in contact with you tomorrow.
