Removing a template - how?
« on: August 17, 2010, 10:50:21 pm »
Hia,
i did create a template, with the pnp and mac range. While refining it, something went wrong. I did delete the device create by the pnp of this template, but trying to making it recognize the device again is not working, so how do i delete the template and the mac range associated, i.e, everything involving this template?
TIA,
Paulo

in web admin do a sqlCVS diff, and revert your changes.

Thx Posde,
doing this i will also remove all the templates i've created. Is there a way to remove only one specific template?
TIA,
Paulo

With revert you revert all the marked entries. by carefully applying the marks, you should be ok.

Thx Posde,
which would be the entries for motion and cameras (surveillance)?
I did create templantes for audio / video and updated the cisco templates (mac range) and would not get them loose.
TIA,
Paulo

You should try to minimize the number of not committed template changes. That way you don't loose control. I really don't know which tables are effected by which changes to the templates, though.
