Back in 7.10 I used to use my core as a proxy server using a SOCKS5 connection with putty and foxyproxy for firefox. I didn't have to configure anything on the server it's self to do this other then having an open port. Since upgrading to 8.10 I have not been able to get this to work. My Putty is set up exactly the way it was before.
I can log in to the server using Putty but when I try to enable my foxy proxy my connection just times out when trying to brows web pages.
Does anyone know if there are any extra steps to get this working. I am just not knowledgeable enough at this point to figure it out on my own.
Does anyone else use their core in 8.10 as a proxy?
