Sorry if it has been answered but I was wondering if video game console emulators work in Linux MCE (ZSNES, etc) for PS2, SNES, NES, Sega, N64, etc?

Welcome :-)

Look here for info on MAME integration inside LinuxMCE - http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Play_Games_on_LinuxMCE

Then search the forum for threads relating to MAME... there are quite a few ;-)

All the best

ahh, so it seems only Atari consoles or am I missing something?  I have a bunch of ROMS for Sega, N64, NES, SNES, C64, etc (all of which I made myself from my own games).

I have been systematically adding system support to the game player and game plugin as time permits.

If you wish, we use MAME and MESS as our emulation core. You can add support for other systems by modifying the source code to our DCE devices as needed, and creating orbiter screens as needed.

thanks Thom.  Everything you said went completely over my head, haha.  Big time novice here.  I don't even have Linux installed yet, I am just testing the waters and seeing if it is a viable alternative to my WMC/MyMovies concoction.

Welcome. Thanks for considering.

However, you should also be aware, that this system is not a media center, it's a smart home platform, with considerably more features, and requirements for setup. You must follow them.
