Flash / Youtube not working out of the box
« on: July 26, 2010, 01:28:10 pm »
With the lastest snapshots/installs I noticed flash does not work.
I was under the impression that it worked out of the box earlier.

Doesn't work at all, or not with certain web sites? I had been having problems with iplayer etc (although youtube was fine) due to my MD being a miniITX ION jobbie http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php?topic=10248.0

I haven't tried flash yet with the latest snapshot, will do so when I get home.

Is flashplugin-nonfree installed?

Flash doesn't work. I get the sugestion to download latest version.

Code: [Select]
flashplugin-nonfree is already the newest version.
flashplugin-nonfree set to manually installed.

Should work out of the box, but doesn't.

yea it wasn't working for me a while back when I did the install and this did the trick... I guess something needs to be fixed in the install-script.

Hmm I had this problem and did :
Code: [Select]
wget http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_10_linux.deb
dpkg -i install_flash_player_10_linux.deb
rm install_flash_player_10_linux.deb
and Hulu works now

Although I guess Hulu has a different problem now...
