Hi Andrew,
Not sure if this is relevant I installed iOrbiter last week so I am not sure if this is causing an issue with web orbiter 2.0

Regards
Bruce

iOrbiter should have no affect. Other people seem to have to got Web Orbiter 2.0 ok after updating their installations so i would guess the problem is specific to your install. Did you see the other expected fixes/changes after the update?

Hi Andrew
a little OT question: have you tested web orbiter 2.0 also with Nokia S60 phones browser? Or are there some known reasons why web orbiter 2.0 could/could not work with those devices?
Sorry to ask you this, but at the moment I cannot test myself as I'm running LMCE 7.10.
A migration to 8.10 is under planning but for several "environmental" reasons it won't be easy, so it is not going to happen shortly.
Knowing something about the possible use of new web orbiter on currently used device may surely help me to refine the roadmap towards the final stage.

TIA
Marco

Hi Marco,

Well ironically all our development of Web Orbiter 2.0 is happening under 0710 as our Cascade & Dianemo products are based on that release...so you could grab a copy from svn and using under 0710 (you'd have to re-compile proxy_orbiter under 0710 bu thats about it) :-)

We have not tested Web Orbiter 2.0 on any S60 mobile browsers. However as long as they support javascript then you have a good chance of success.

All the best

I was surprised to see it has a samba client and was able to stream my music to it but no video as it did not support the code

hey steve - what res do you have the WebOrbiter 2.0 set on the n900?
Do you have MicroB set to open in full screen?
Does the full-screen toggle button not get in the way of the lower right hand corner orbiter buttons?

you shouldn't need to visit FreePBX to set this up, follow the instructions in the 'LMCE Setup' part of the page below:

http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/EP-636_SIP_Phone#LMCE_Setup

Then in SipDroid setup (which I am not familiar with) there should be something like SIP Registrar that you would set to the Core IP address (192.168.80.1 by default) then the User name or Auth ID would be the extension assigned in the LMCE setup above, as would the password - although there was some work being done to secure the passwords so this may have changed - try it though.

Hi Andrew
Attached is a print screen after my most recent update and a print screen of the /var/www/lmce-admin/ after the update as you can see from the update txt file there are errors at the end I just can't seem to resolve. I have modified the Pin priority to 500 as per other post of update issues,  any help would be very much appreciated.....stuck in a rut

Cheers
Bruce

Beeker,

could you keep your problem post to a single thread, and not post it in multiple threads, please.

Thanks.

Weborbiter 2.0 runs fantastic on my iPhone 3GS running OS4

I am having a different experience with my 3GS with OS4- although it's very possible I'm doing something wrong.  I have mine set to the 480x320 (Iphone) size and Normal Horizontal (3:4).  The picture shows up great- no flashing, quick updates, not 5 second reloads, etc and I get the super tux when it's updating, so I know I'm running Weborbiter 2.0.

I am having trouble when I try to click the buttons at either the far right or at the bottom.  It seems like the time I hold the button down changes where the cursor would be on the screen.  Imagine the cursor starting in the top left hand corner and having to move across and/or down the page to get to the button you want to select.  If you were to not move the cursor all the way to the desired button (or in my case not hold the button down long enough) then an intermediate button is pressed.  E.g. as I click on "More" from the main UI1 screen, I am often displayed the phone book screen, "Power" gets me to Dial Direct, "Sleeping menu" to "Speed Dial", etc.  Sould add that the same thing happens on my wifes 3GS as well.

New weborbiter is a great addition- big thanks to Uplink and Andrew.

Hi Andrew,
After another test of my iPhone the same thing is happening to me it's giving the effect of a touch screen that needs calibration, you one key and you get a different action

We updated WO2.0 yesterday afternoon and these should fix your problems and improve performance too. I think those fixes are in last nights build but are not in the the repos as of yet this morning... I am sure they will make it into the repos later today. Wait until later and then do an update to get them as usual.

All the best

Andrew
