Hi, I have some problems with configuration network under LinuxMCE

My core has two network cards, eth0 is connected to the Internet and configuration is address/submask 192.168.0.101/255.255.255.0,
eth1 is internal and address/submask 192.168.80.1. I use Dlink des 1005d as a switch. Network in LinuxMCE is configurated as here
http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Network_Settings.

When I connect switch to the Internet and my laptop to the switch, I have accees to the Internet from laptop.
When I connect laptop to switch which is connected to the core with Internet connection on eth0, I dont have any access to the Internet, but I guess I should.

Can anybody help how to solve problem (use another switch / another Internet connection which gives unique ip address / some special  configuration of core)?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Sergey

Two questions:

1) Do you have internet access from the core?

2) Is your laptop a Toshiba laptop with gigabit ethernet?

1) Yes, from the core I have access to the Internet, no problem

2)  Laptop is not Toshiba, just HP laptop. But I think that problem is not with laptop. I connected another my desktop (acer with gigabit network card) to the switch which is connected to the Internet directly, and I have access through switch. When I do the through core, I dont have access to the Internet.

Can it be a problem with my Internet connection? (I get 192.168.0.101 with submask 255.255.255.0 for eth0)

I think the problem is with my integrated NIC which is Realtek RTL8111DL.

When I do swap cards in Web Admin, LinuxMCE quickly will find my switch Dlink, my laptop and laptop gets ip address ( I can see from ipconfig in Windows ip like 198.162.80.129).

But in this case Internet ((which is connected to realtek card) stops to work.

So , the problem is with Realtek card.

I've found lot of post about this problem with all Linux, so the question is it possible force it work properly under LinuxMCe or its easy to buy another network card and sitch off Realtek card?

Thanks,
Sergey
