http://www.electronichouse.com/article/automation_systems_get_into_social_networking/

Interesting article about how Control4 plans to integrate their automation systems with facebook, twitter and other social networks.

Boxee and XBMC have such integration long time ago. But they provide an easy way to implement it using Python and their API. It's much more difficult implement in LinuxMCE. Because for each service should be created a separate Player on C++ and setup dev environment of course to compile and test application.

Personally, I'd like to have Twitter in the LinuxMCE but as a transport for notifications.

Guys, it's not hard to make these things, a plugin could be made to expose relevant data grids and information, which would then be present on Orbiter screens house wide.

I'm tired of just talk. and would actually like other people to attempt stuff, and come in and ask the devs questions as they peel things back.
