No AVWizard
« on: May 10, 2010, 01:53:48 am »
Hi,
I've installed a recent snapshot (5/3/10).
The AVWizard didn't run...the installation went straight through the Sarah!
I couldn't get the AVWizard to run by holding down the shift key during boot, or from the command line in another terminal.
I could run it from a terminal window in KDE though!
A bit ugly.
Also, I didn't see the Launch Manager, just a lot of very large text showing its normal functions.

Is all this to be expected, or have I done something wrong?

Thx

If you want to run the AVwizard then just run the following command.
Code: [Select]
/usr/pluto/bin/RebootWithAVWizard.sh

I have a similar problem as Bert. I went through AVWizard OK and loads modules and end up with pointing arrow in a black screen.
Wonder what happened to Launch Manager kicking in. I am configuring my server to act as Core only. My media director (netbooting with the Core) is ending up with a Blank screen too.- may be unrealted to the problem I have with the Core.
My install is also from 5/3/10 snapshot. I just downloaded 5/11/10 snapshot (3.7Gb) and planning to give a try tonight. Perhaps I am going the wrong way about this? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Paul
