I thought the IEC958 was the digital audio including hdmi. I got my audio over hdmi working by 'unmuting' those using alsamixer.

Weird.

OK. Fixed this.

Ran apt-get update and upgrade on the core then:
/usr/pluto/bin/Diskless_CreateTBZ.sh

and rebuilt my mds.
