DTS / AC3 problem
« on: September 18, 2008, 08:24:51 am »
I have an issue with DTS and AC3 sound. In the AVWizard, i can hear both sound without any problem, the receiver (Yamaha DSP-Z11) switch between PCM, AC3 and DTS, so i use AC3/DTS pass-trough.
But when i watch DVD Playback with DTS sound, the receiver stay in PCM mode and i can only hear a "tchick-tchick-tchick".

My soundcard is an integrate intel ICH9 on a Asus P5K motherboard.

tks

Hello,
Check out http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php?topic=2921.0 and http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php?topic=4397.0 for similar issues, and the steps that were asked for resolution.

Steps I followed..  goto LinuxMCE Forums -> LinuxMCE,  Fill in AC3 Passthru in the Search window and click Search.  This searches all sub forums for that string anywhere in the postings.  Then you can try SPDif or Audio.

Your question actually helped me out a bit..  Gave me some more things to try with my audio problems, different search string
