Adding auto tagged to Dianemo
« on: September 01, 2013, 11:56:51 am »
Hi all,
I am wondering if someone can give me some help.

There is an earlier post suggesting that lmce auto tagger will work with Dianemo. I am running 12.04 and would like to make using tv shows easier via orbiter in Dianemo with episode info cover art etc. I have been using xbmc for tv show management on dianemo share but really want it all to be integrated through orbiter so am looking for some help installing the auto tagger package.

Alternatively if there are users controlling and using xbmc clients through Dianemo how are you using them ie through Upnp etc. I have tried the upnp approach and generally find it unintuitive.

Thanks everyone
Garath

We have lots of installations where Rpi's running Raspbmc firmware are being used. The Rpi's are being used as UPnP media renderers in these installs replacing traditional Media Managers (Media Directors).

All the best

Hi Andrew,
I appreciate that Rpi's are being used in this way. This doesn't relate to orbiter information though. My question was in regard to the metadata and tagging of tvshows and the like and improving the manner in which tv show data is added to media grids and whether the auto tagging tool can be added to a dianemo install. I note another Dianemo user made reference to doing this. My reference to xbmc is only to illustrate that the tvdb scrapper is able to reference tv shows tagged appropriately. The upnp function of dianemo yes can reference an xbmc library, but This doesn't deal with the metadata issue.

We don't support the autotagger currently - It may well work but I suspect it may rely on specific LinuxMCE features or may use hard coded paths to certain files etc (a guess i could be completely wrong on that). If TV shows are recorded via MythTV then they will have good metadata and this can be browsed via UPnP either directly on a SmartTV (or Rpi) or via an Orbiter.

All the best

Hi Andrew,
I am more referring to the use of tv shows ripped from DVD series. Each episode has been ripped as separate file and labelled as such. Currently there is a tremendous amount of work to tag manually the information on these files on an individual basis through webadmin. I am simply looking for any alternative to doing this as I ideally want dianemo control over all aspects of system to take advantage of whole house media of the system. WAF isn't very high when no details are available for tvshows.

So are there any plans to implement such a tool within dianemo if auto tagged isn't currently supported?
