DLINK 3220G IP Camera HELP!
« on: March 24, 2008, 03:44:07 am »
I hope someone can help me out here.

I'm trying my best to get this D-Link 3220 to work with the Motion Wrapper driver in MCE.  So far I have been able to create the Generic Analog Camera device following the instructions @ http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/IP_Cameras.  However, this 3220 does not have a .jpg or .mjpg file under the filesystem.  I've ftped to the device and did not find anything that look like that.  The only files on there are .vspx.  I also noticed that I cannot view the html site from any other browser then IE because of this Active X control that it installs.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

Should I get a different Camera? If so what?

Thanks in advance for your help!!!!

Donny

FYI,

I found a the correct URL for motion to use.

You should use http://<CAM IP>/cgi-bin/video.jpg

This worked for me under motion.  I found this information at http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.php/D-Link#DCS-3220

Thanks
