I've been playing with various IP cameras over the past week with no success. he image is still unavailable.
I settled on focusing on the Foscam FI8910W which streams MJPEG only. I verified the stream address with Foscam and followed the tutorials.
I tried both motion and generic IP. the camera was not detected, so no P&P.
I also tried the D-Link DCS5222L which was P&P, but no picture showed up either (chose the 5300 at the prompt0. I proceeded to install it manually as motion and IP, but neither worked either.
I can see the pictures using the stream address in a browser, so that's verified.
I tried various combinations in the configuration, passed credentials via the address and also via the user/pwd entries, port in the address or in the port field,... nothing has worked so far, so I'm beginning to wonder what I'm doing wrong (assuming I'm at fault).
What could cause an IP camera NOT to work? My understanding from reading was that just pointing to the stream would display it. What am I missing? I'm trying to understand.
My other question would be, what needs to happen for the images to show (this one is so I can update the documentation).

I added instructions on the Tutorials/Guides landing page, but we need an icon like the one for the progammer's guide, probably something along the line of "Community documentation guide" or "Wiki editing guide", in order to make it obvious.

I am currently merging the essential pages and bringing the basics together, i started by editing directly and realized that it was going to create too much of a log, so I started editing offline. the updates that you received were probably from the time I was editing directly.
You should receive less feeds now that I moved my editing offline, but expect it to keep happening until i'm done (at least with the entry point articles). I have been at it for a week full time, and expect to put another 2 weeks in it. You can use that timeline to decide what to do with your feed settings.

Well, I haven't decided which route to go yet because my budget is limited and I want to do everything all at once so I can close my walls.

As far as writing the drivers is concerned, I can not make any decision from where I stand, but seems like the kind of thing I would have fun doing. but I have these walls open...

Who is the admin responsible for the configuration of the wiki?
We need some extensions in order to clean the clutter.

I read about some old discussion about integration of RadioRA, but it was not clear whether anything has been completed or not. Seeing that the products are easily available, I was wondering what the status is  and if anyone is actually using it or knows if it is workable solution.

EDIT: I just checked my pricing: The list price for my installation was around 38EUR/light, plus around 450EUR for one-of equipment, like gateway and PSU. Doing a bit of shopping around, it is easy to get price down to ~25EUR/light, and around 250EUR for one-of equipment.

Can I sync the payers when playing music on multiple MDs while keeping the ability to play different tunes when the situation changes? (in other words, are the players independent by syncable on demand?)

Does the dedicated circuit for the equipment, or both need to carry the load of the lights in the case of KNX?

I run my KNX wires directly alongside my 230V power cables, my CAT6 and CAT7 cabling, 3x 30m speaker wire, and the low voltage stuff from my 30kWh peak PV installation, without any problems.

What gage / type of wire ate the KNX wires?

The KNX cable is specified to be put together with high voltage (230V) cabling.

Does this mean they are regular electric wires? (control cables)
