Model and make of the X10 dimmer switch?

I bought the x10 dimmer touch switch from Taiyito.com. If I using the plcbus universal controller software to dim it was no problem.

Hi,
So From LMCE you can switch the lights on and of but not Dimm them?
What template did you choose when adding the dimmer switch?

Template #37 Light switch (on/off)
Template #38 Light switch (dimmable)

What test commands do you have available on in the webadmin for the light switch?

Karel

Hi Karel,

i was choose the Template #38. on, off and set level, it click on or off button it's working, but when i put the string for the set level, it's not work at all.

anyone can help on this issue? the light dimmer set level feature in linuxmce was not working to my x10 dimmer, but can on/off it and manually dim/bright the bulb on the switch.

I'm using PLCBus 1141 RS232 controller with x10/plcbus transfer interface to control x10 dimmer, it works fine with lamp switch, appliance module and also curtain module, just only the x10 dimmer switch i can only control on/off, but cannot to dim/bright.

Yes- I am typically able to view my camera from my orbiter.  I think motion is still having problems as I am able to go to 192.168.80.1:8000 and see the picture- such as this one of my basement ceiling:  http://imgur.com/rY4Dp

Whenever I click on the camera on an orbiter or Security -> View Cameras I either get a blank screen on the orbiter or "Camera screenshot not available" in the web admin pages yet I can see the image linked on imgur above.

I just followed the directions in the wiki- this page looks different than I remember, but the instructions look very familiar:  http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Foscam_FI8905W

I've tried restarting motion per the wiki instructions, but to no avail:
Code: [Select]
dcerouter_1024916:/home/huh# /etc/init.d/motion restart
 * Not starting motion daemon, disabled via /etc/default/motion

But did you make it can Pan/Tilt in the orbiter? if yes, can you please tell me the instructions?

Thanks in advanced

Had to do a reinstall and tried to make the Foscam device template again.

Using the same things and trying the same things but no video again.........

I assume the easiest would be to wait till the device template I submitted a while ago gets added to the database.

When do device templates that get submitted to sqlcvs get added to the database?

Are there any other solutions?

Thanks Josh

Hi Josh,

Did you have successfully to created and viewed the foscam FI8918W in your orbiter?

I have the same now. What linuxmce are you using? What is the 2027? An appliance switch?

Hi Bongowongo,

Do you solve the problem already? you're using the X10 2027 appliance switch or PLCBUS 2027 appliance switch? and your is 1 phase or 3 phase electric?

Jicky

The device template doesn´t change, its "only" the orbiter buttons that changes.

Hi Gangsingen,

Do you solve this problem? i faced this issue also.

I dont know what wall socket you have where you live, but in europe we have to make sure that the plug-in modules are inserted in the wall socket the right way, try to plug it in upside down" if your socket allows you to do that.

In Malaysia we're using the UK type wall socket.

Hi All,

Anybody have successfully to connected the PLCBus 2027 appliance to Linuxmce? I had added the PLCBus 1141 RS232 to linuxmce and it had "buzzes" sound, is it means successfully to connected? After that adedd a Light switch (on/off) for PLCBus 2027, and pressed the 2027 setup button until it blinking, and I tried to send on command to it, the 1141 was had "buzzes" sound when I sending the on command. But PLCBus 2027 still not working. Anyone else can help me on this issue?

I was checking the PLCBUS log while pressed the on command, it was came out "Sendcount exceed, this was the last sent attempt, removing job... <0xb70adb90>"

Thanks
