Installation issues / Re: AVWizard loop
« on: April 24, 2012, 12:03:49 pm »
Problem kind of solved. Deleting nvidia-install.sh and replacing it with an empty file makes the MD boot as expected. Probably the ID of the graphics card isn't recognized by nvidia-install.sh?

Yes i usel the nvidia gt520 thread to get my graphics up at all, the MD works very good when AVWizard is completed. Its the AVWizard loop that is my problem.

Installation issues / AVWizard loop
« on: April 23, 2012, 07:09:10 pm »
I installed my headless core with LMCE-1004-20120413131325885, wish went so smooth that i couldn't believe my eyes, very great job with the LiveDVD L3mce.

Now to the problem. My livingroom MD with a nvidia GTX-560 are driving me nuts. I have installed nvidia-current through x-swat repo, the version is 295.40. When it is about the initialize X it unloads the nvidia module, causing Failed to setup X screen.
If i ssh to the MD on boot and modprobing the nvidia module X fires up and give me AVWizard. I complete it and get a fully working MD, BUT, if i reboot the MD I'm back a zero again, having to ssh, modprobe, complete AVWizard to be able to use the MD.

/etc/pluto.conf shows AVWizardOverride = 0
                              AVWizardDone = 1
                              FirstBoot = false

How do i get the MD to understand that AVWizard is done and not to touch the nvidia module?

Bumping this. Have anyone experienced this sort of VDR behavior?

I have tried newest s2-liplianin to replace the kernel drivers but no difference, my card btw is a hauppauge NovaHD S2.
My reception is strong and constant, so is signal quality.
Im very thankful for more tips from all you people, sometimes another perspective can be a good solution.

The same thing happens when I'm watching on the core itself.

Make the change to /etc/asound.conf AND /usr/pluto/templates/asound.conf

If you add that to your asound.conf and leave everything else as is it should work for you.

Best regards, Daniel

Edit: Just paste this on the bottom of /etc/asound.conf and tick Use AC3/DTS pass-through
in webadmin page, then reboot

Users / VDR stream issue
« on: March 03, 2012, 09:17:34 pm »
Hi everybody. I have a non LMCE specific problem with VDR and i can't find info anywhere so I'm trying here.

I can watch VDR for some time on my MD but after a while the stream freezes and the syslog on the MD starts to fill up with:

It continues like that until i turn off VDR. I then have to /etc/init.d/vdr restart on the core to be able to watch again.
Is someone else experiencing the same issue with VDR?

I have nvidia gtx560 in my living room MD and using 285 drivers and alsa 1.0.25 with working hdmi audio

lspci | grep VGA | grep rev gives me:

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation Device 1201 (rev a1)

lspci -nn | grep -vi "non-vga" | grep -i vga | sed 's/.*://;s/\].*//' gives me:
