« on: October 22, 2013, 10:08:41 pm »
Hey,

the server running wiki and forum on is quite a bit outdated.
So the i plan to do a major upgrade to most recent debian version on friday, 25.10.2013 (starting at 19.00 CEST).

i try to keep the downtime to a minimum.

how come?
i  wanted to do a upgrade to the wiki and setup a apache solr search coz' me and others complaining about finding anything in the wiki but php version is to old for the latest wiki version.
maybe more in case this worked ;-)

Cheers,

Hey ....
currently my core is out of service because the power supply is broken. Will get a now one by tomorrow.

Devices i can help/test with:
- MacBook (new), Qt SDK installed (almost clean install of MacOS 10.8), should be ready for building qOrbiter on Mac
- Android Tablet - ACER Iconai A210
- Android Phone - HUAWEI U9510E

I'm glad to help, but i'm not the most skilled guy around regarding this. ;-)

Cheers,

2 more things ...

a TYPO3 extension pulling wiki pages into the website ...
http://typo3.org/extensions/repository/view/media_wiki

If you want the Header integrated, i can provide the header generated by TYPO3 ....

Hey ....

steve, i was thinking about integrating forum and Wiki to the website...

i currently know howto integrate dokuwiki into TYPO3, but never used MediaWiki ...
We could do the same for the Forum or use TYPO3s Forum ... but this would be a lot of work to migrate, imho its best focusing to get the System running.

:-)

so far the upgrade on the MD worked ... except the MD shows errors on boot:

....
could not log bootup: address already in use
mount: according to mtab, proc is already mounted on /proc
....

maybe this is caused by chroot'ed method ...

see image for details.

sooooo .... MD Upgrade worked .... and it was really fast!

how it was done:
On the Core (10.04) i chroot'ed into the the MD (see attached file).
Executed the lmceUpgrade.sh as usual.
After all MDs are upgrade, Upgrade ur Core....

I was told to upgrade Core first, but this did not work for me! ....

I'll try to include the chroot thingie into the script.

i had a look at Diskless_CreateTBZ.sh...

i reckon $TEMP_DIR is /usr/pluto/diskless/<MD number>  ?

This is what i did:
mount --bind /var/cache/apt $TEMP_DIR/var/cache/apt
mount --bind /usr/pluto/deb-cache $TEMP_DIR/usr/pluto/deb-cache
mount --bind /dev/pts $TEMP_DIR/dev/pts
mount none -t sysfs $TEMP_DIR/sys
mount none -t proc $TEMP_DIR/proc
chroot /usr/pluto/diskless/<MD number>

it gave the same error as before:
WARNING:root:estimate_kernel_in_boot() returned '0' ........

i got really no idea what to do now ... :-(

mh ...  :) ...
ok.... but not today....

ugh.... by the way, can't remember if i ran Diskless_CreateTBZ.sh after upgrading Core. Is it required prior to upgrading MDs?
