Im not 100% positive, but I believe the newer lirc config files have some support for the lcd display.. I have the Thermaltake 202 case but with the smaller LCD display and the ultrabay panel (IMON).   Ive got the volume knob working with lirc, I know the buttons are set up, but I haven't checked them... and the LCD display is somewhat limited... although MythTV seems to have more functionality with it.

you might check into it.

Guys,
I have a question regarding vdpau configuration...   I have 'hardware acceleration' set to vdpau, 'Deinterlace Quality' set to NONE (although i tried vdpau also).  Ripped DVDs are playing well, and using vdpau (verified by ssh into MD and run 'top').   It is MythTV that I cannot get vdpau to work correctly.. the audio is 'REALLY' choppy, but the video is not near as choppy.

So, what IS the correct configuration settings?

I am running 0810 on a ASUS M4A77TD mobo, with a quad core Phenom II, and 4 gigs of ram.

thanks in advance

Thanks Thom.   Will ripping from MakeMKV (then transfer over the largest title) work as a solution?  I may just have to try!

Gentlemen (and/or Ladies) ;D

I got myself a BD-ROM (its a samsung) that I got RPC-1 firmware from RPC1.org (I am assuming it is RPC-1 firmware).   When I install a bluray disk, the 'do you wish to rip' message appears and I acknowledge with yes.   Immediately the rip fails (even a regular DVD will fail after about 15 to 20 percent).

There is little information on LMCE Bluray ripping... is there any extra software I need to load?   if so, what?

I am not even sure where disc ripping is logged to..  the disk device (51)  is here

Glad I could help... sometimes things get 'lost in translation'  here in the forums... after reading a few posts, I knew I should chip in.

Good luck.

I have a 2-wire DSL router as well.. it has built-in wireless, and 4 lan ports and USB port on the rear.   This device provides DHCP for a 'normal' home setup.   I have my Core connected to one of the ethernet jacks in the back...   I then have another lan card in my core that is connected to a 1Gb ethernet switch that my Media Directors are connected to.     This is the preferred setup for a LMCE home network.   Note though that I do have another PC that I use that is also connected directly to the 2-wire router.. I dont want this PC to be part of the home network because it is my 'backdoor' to the internet if i am 'tinkering' with my core PC.

Users / Re: Media files do not show up under "sort by filename"
« on: April 16, 2011, 02:46:13 am »
yup...  I had the same situation... I had two internal hard drives for data.. only the drive links were shown, but if you go into the links, whatever media was on them showed up...

I guess it is a 'feature' of the 'sort by filename'  :-\

Trac Ticket #1039 (new feature_request) submitted today.  sqlCVS-Diff completed as well (I hope...it said it completed successfully)
