I got my Eken M002 some days ago and it works fine with WebOrbiter 2.0. Is it possible to install your TouchOrbiter on this device (I am very new to Android).

Will it be possible to shutdown the Tablet PC using your Orbiter?
I think it would be fine to shutdown the Orbiter when I send my home to Sleep Mode.

I solved the problem doing this:

apt-get remove alsa-modules-`uname -r`

asoundconf list - to show sound devices

asoundconf set-default-card I82801DBICH4 <-my pci-card

reboot

The USB sound devices are still working!

I have got a new problem with my soundcard - a view days ago everything worked like it should. But now the soundcard in my Core/Hybrid does not work.

aplay -l tells me:

The USB Audio Devices are still ok - they work with squeezslave
But the Intel 82801DB-ICH4 does nothing.

When I start alsamixer the Intel 82801DB-ICH4 is the standard sound device.

When i do:
aplay /usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Center.wav - I get this:

^{ALSA lib pcm_dmix.c:1008:(snd_pcm_dmix_open) unable to open slave
aplay: main:590: Fehler beim Ãffnen des Audiogerätes: Device or resource busy}

yes you are right, the Eken runs as WbOrbiter. But i am looking arround to find some information to shutdown the Eken remote using e.g. a ssh connection or a Android App to control the Eken with the Core.

My installation looks like this:
In my bus-system there is a switch (I call it Party-Mode). On the Core I have a shell-script running (deamon) that checks two things every minute. First it checks the time. If it is not 10:00pm the script will exit. If it is 10:00pm or later it also checks the "Party-Mode" switch. If the "Party-Mode" switch ist pressed the script exits doing nothing. If the "Party-Mode" is turned off, the script starts to do a fiew things - e.g. turn off all audio components (bus-system), turn off all lights (bus-system), shutdown the Eken WebOrbiter, shutdown all MD's... May be it is possible to execute a LinuxMCE scenario (I do not know this).

One idea is to execute a shell script to shutdown the Eken via WLan.

At the moment i have in use or is planed:
1x Core/Hybrid - with two squeezeslaves - works great
1x Cisco 7970 - works great
1x MD - Asus EeeBook - Bedroom - works great
1x Eken M002 with WebOrbiter 2.0 - works great
1x MD for the Kitchen - not built
1x MD for the Bathroom - not built

Also in process is doing a template and ruby-code for the Biticino bus-system (light, climate, audio)

And now i whant to execute a shell-script using a scenario button - is this possible?
Is it also possible to shutdown the Eken M002 by sending the House to sleep-mode?

Hi,

I did a fresh LinuxMCE install - before I executed the LinuxMCE installation script - I had 3 soundcards - 2 CMedia USB an 1 PCI - so it should be - then I started the LinuxMCE installation script an i only hab one soundcard - the PCI. The USB soundcards are not shown any more.

hmmm...

if pvrinput is not so good - what can I use?
VDR tells me "Channel not available" but when I use w_pvrscan - it findes the channels?

i try to use a WinTV PVR2 USB capture card with vdr - I have seen that I need the pvrinput plugin to get this work - is there a possibility to install this vdr-plugin using apt-get?
