Thought it was worth starting a fresh post is anybody expericing or have a solution to the issue with the current snapshots screwing up the Gyration remote, just about all the keys don't work anymore.
I have modified xorg.conf with adding the following as suggested by tkmedia and TSCHAKeee2 but still no luck
Section "ServerFlags" Option "AutoAddDevices" "False" EndSection

For me it was just the RAID that was not recognised so a small fix in rc.local fixed that my bigger problem is now after creating my md upstairs the Gyration remote button layout has lost it marbles and as you say buttons do things that there not meant to etc
Hope someone knows why and also how to fix this issue

Thanks for everyone's help so far with trying to solve the issue of getting this atl1c module to start................especially many thanks to Han for all your help so far.
We have done exhaustive testing and still we have the same issue of Fatal:Module atl1c not found
Han and I have gone through all the steps of the wiki and cannot find the problem so I hope somebody can help find the solution to this problem, please don't slap too hard just starting to get a bit deeper into the logs and the system and get a better understanding but no idea of programming so I leave that to the experts out there

Are both your DVD drives burners as I was using my HP laptop to burn iso's and another one downstairs and both would corrupt the burn. When you do the burn does it complete without errors, I finally found another burner that worked but that was after trashing 10 x discs so since my m/b supports USB booting all my blank DVD's have gone to the great DVD bin in the Sky......scratched media a thing of the past especially with a 3 year old everything is now on USB and HDD's and soon I will be moving to SSD's

A couple of suggestions 1. Unplug your RAID I do when doing fresh installs as I have nearly 4Tb of data that I definitely do not want to lose 2. The other option is to make a Linux Boot USB stick drive and save the ISO to it then boot from the USB stick drive if your m/b supports as it far quicker and more reliable then DVD's 3. Use any spare HDD you have lying around then once you get it to boot up you can install mdadm from a terminal window in kubuntu and plug your RAID array in and it should be automatically detected safely

Thanks...........same here in regards to downloading snapshots easy to blow you d/l limit out the window, it's really frustrating here in Australia as our Internet is so crappy in most areas compared to the rest of the world
Hope it works for you be interested to know how it goes

My problem is my exsisting 4Tb RAID I do not want to lose all the data but I thinking of building a newer larger array with I might do in FreeNAS as it seems popular. Do you have any thoughts why MCE is not seeing the existing RAID?
