Hi Andrew
Attached is a print screen after my most recent update and a print screen of the /var/www/lmce-admin/ after the update as you can see from the update txt file there are errors at the end I just can't seem to resolve. I have modified the Pin priority to 500 as per other post of update issues,  any help would be very much appreciated.....stuck in a rut

Cheers

Hi Andrew,
Not sure if this is relevant I installed iOrbiter last week so I am not sure if this is causing an issue with web orbiter 2.0

Hi Andrew,
I will delete both devices again and do a apt-get update and apt-get upgrade and try re creating the devices again, I did originally use the wiki instructions that you mentioned and I have checked the /var/www/lmce-admin and I am only seeing weborbiter.php and a lot of other files not what is listed as per below in the wiki.

So I assume that because all the files that are listed in the wiki are not in the /var/www/lmce-admin/ folder then web orbiter 2.0 has not been installed yet. This is really strange as when I did the update it was over 300mb so I will try again unless you think I should try something else

Thanks and regards
Bruce

/var/www/lmce-admin/

You will see the following Web Orbiter related files (there are many other unrelated files in this directory too);

weborbiter_command.php
weborbiter_image.php
weborbiter.php

Look in;

/var/www/lmce-admin/weborbiter

You should see the following files;

IT.php
jquery.min.js
jquery.timers.js
login.html
waiting.gif
weborbiter.css
weborbiter.html
weborbiter.js
weborbiter_select.html

Hi Andrew,
I have just done an update & upgrade to 810 and was previously using the web orbiter, do I need to delete that device and recreate it to be able to use web orbiter 2.0. Also how do I tell that I do have 2.0 as I followed the wiki instructions for the iphone and have done a full regen and reload and both web devices one being a laptop and the other a iphone 3GS still refresh every 5 sec's.

The orbiter on the iphone is a postage stamp on the screen even though I set the size as 320 x 480

Any help is much appreciated

Cheers

Hi Johannes,
I haven't had time to try Andrew's suggestions and there are other suggestions in the forum to try as well but it requires a deeper understanding then my basic cmd line knowledge so I am waiting to see if someone has some added instructions. I hope to get this up and running when I get back in a weeks time over the school holidays as I have a brand new unit sitting in the cupboard collecting dust. Does anybody have any suggestions on using a iPhone as an orbiter?

Andrew,
Does your OEM version have the Atheros LAN port as I need more simplified instructions so I can modify the core to allow me to do a PXE boot from the Foxconn Nettop - 0331i

Have been working away from home for a month so I have not had time to get back to testing The Villans suggestions which I plan to do over the next couple of weeks.

I have had it turned on and it's very quiet not sure about the heat issue though I will be able to guage that once I get it running and then see how hot it gets whilst under load.

I plan to mount it on the back of my plasma and I still may need some help in getting the PXE boot to work as I have limited expertise in cmd line linux.......so if anybody has any tips I would greatly appreciate it

Hi,

has someone tested this NetBox for use as MediaDirector?

Foxconn NetBox-nT330i

Tecnical Data:
Intel Atom 330 Prozessor 2x 1,6 GHz
NVIDIA 9400GT onBoard
Wireless LAN IEEE 802.11 b/g
6x USB 2.0
1x Gigabit-LAN
1x HDMI
1x DVI
Cardreader SD / SDHC / MS / MS Pro / MMC

It looks very interesting for use as a MediaDirector...

Sorry about my poor english!

Thank you!

This looks to be a good Atom/ion machine...there are tons of these now of course. As Techstyle points out the only potential problem is the Atheros NIC...but there seem to be people in XBMC world that have got this box running under the current XBMC Live Disc so it looks like this problem ix fixable. However this is all guess work on my part as we have not tested the T330i so tread carefully on this unit ;-)

All the best

Andrew

Andrew,
I just brought one and funnily enough the nic is not recognised I have tried following the steps in the wiki's of unrecognised nic's but no luck any suggestions

Has anybody been able to get this Foxconn Nettop - 0331i to do a PXE boot.
It fails as it can't find eth0 in the diskless image of the Atheros LAN card so it ends up with a kernal panic, I have searched the wiki's and found two entries of how to add the missing module into the diskless setup but really need some assistance please...not sure of the module name to add.......not too experienced in command line linux

Installation issues / Alarm Panel Intergration
« on: April 18, 2010, 07:31:46 am »
Hi All,
Looking for advice on integrating our existing alarm panel using mce's built in security if possible.

We have 5 battery operated wireless pir's, 3 x hard wired pir's, external siren and strobe, internal piezo siren, wireless control panel, wired control panel and 3 x wireless remotes for alarm control. Can mce control this type of equip and would I need something like a GC-100 or would it be simpler to use RS232 which I think the panel has..........any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

The alarm system is a Honeywell Ademco Vista-48A

Cheers
