Users / Android Orbiter 16:9 fails to show the bottom menu
« on: March 11, 2015, 11:08:28 am »
Hey,

Not sure what went wrong during my last restore. But seems that I can't get my android orbiter properly configured.

When I generate the orbiter with 4:3, it's working great. Except that the screen of my mobile isn't filled completely.
But when I generate it with 16:9, i'm missing my bottom menu (where you can select the rooms, users...), I just have the first icon.  And when I click on a 'scenario', the screen goes black. Nothing else.

Any idea how I could solve this?

I've changed the ALLOW_SIP_ANON to 'yes'.
And for the moment, i've got the feeling that all my calls are entering. Just hitting each time the voicemail of asterisk.

The strange thing is that in linuxmce, the phones are not registred.
But in asterisk, they are...

My house mode is unarmed.

Some extra info when a calls enters, and when it's forwarded to voicemail

Installation issues / Re: No incoming phone calls?
« on: January 22, 2015, 08:33:45 am »
Hey,

For the moment, i've got 7 internal SIP phones online, with status unmonitored.
And 1 SIP account (SIP-provider), but status unknown. Don't know if this is correct?

Strange thing is that sometimes, I can phone in, sometimes, the SIP provider answer that it's not registred. And sometimes I'm getting the answering of linuxmce (asterisk?).

Yes, since 12 had a lot of issue to install (even nic card wasn't working out of the box, video card troubles...).
only 10 is 'stable', and we use linuxmce on daily base, so i gave up after 3 days with the 12.

Damned, was really motivated to have some great features for out home automation...

Thanks anyway. I'll have another try whenever 12 (14?) is a more stable version.

When I install it (forwards me to http://deb.linuxmce.org/LinuxMCE-Orbiter.apk), it looks very like the old one. :$
And on the server, a new 'Generic Proxy Orbiter' has been added.

Then, from you android device, you can navigate to the webadmin page on the core.  At the webadmin login page there is a link to "Download Orbiter, Utilities and other software", click that and then you can download "Orbiter For Android Qt5".

Just gave it a try, everything goes fine. Up to the point that i don't have an orbiter for QT in the list. Only an orbiter for Android.
I guess this isn't the same?

Hey,

Hope you feel better...

Any idea when we could test this?

Else I'll need to invest some time to relaunch the old orbiters on our phones in order to have a working one... We use this mainly to control our house, so it's very usefull/necessary for us. Speciall since we don't have enough switches in our house to control everything... :$

Hey,

I'm trying to install the Qorbiter5 on a LG Nexus 5.

But unfortunelly i'm stuck somewhere.
The Qorbiter on my android phone 'hangs' on --- please wait, loading.... ---

I think that it's a problem with the server. Since I couldn't install it like written in http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Android_Orbiter.
The link "http://langstonball.com/qorbiter/setupQorbiter.sh" doesn't work me.

So I followed this manual: http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/QOrbiter_Setup.
But I guess somewhere, I did something wrong... :$

Hey,

After a reinstallation of 1004, my incoming calls aren't working anymore.
I can call outside, I can call internally, but when you try to dial in, i'm directly forwarded to the voicemail.

When I check my phone devices, all phones are in there, but they're not registred? Not sure if that's normal?

Any clue what I can check?

I did an import of my old databases (pluto & asterisk).
I needed also to rename the files /usr/pluto/bin/configure_cisco79xx.pl since they crash my installation completely. My sql-database went crazy, and in my processes, a lot of these scripts were running.

Damned, just managed to install the 12 with another network card (chipset).
But i didn't configured a lot in the server, yet...

So now in doubt, would I retry the 14, or just stay with the 12...

Thanks for the reply!

Installed earlier version already. The 12.04 doesn't recognize my network cards... Grrrrr.
Okay, i'll give it another try.
