78  LinuxMCE / Installation issues / Re: Unable to add generic pc as MD - template 28 on: September 17, 2012, 12:05:08 am
J.,
The first install was from the DVD, but i go so many problems that i decided to get the internet install, Today, i installed it the third time,
i reinstalled all, and for my surprise, AVWizard does not shows, and it goes directly for the simple interface.
Entering more -> advanced -> av setup,, it reboots and no AVWizard....
The previous install, two days ago, entered AVWizard.
It's driving me insane Smiley)))
Any hint?

79  LinuxMCE / Installation issues / Re: 10.04 asterisk: should extensions.conf really be set to not accept anonymous? on: September 16, 2012, 09:55:34 pm

Finally, do you think we could get a FAQ going just about how 10.04 asterisk is supposed to work and the gotchas? Searching the forum and/or wiki gives you all the flavors of asterisk used to date and is highly inefficient. Since freepbx is no longer implemented, searching the web isn't useful as it assumes you are using freepbx as part of the solution.

That's really a good idea, because i'm doing it...searching all around about the config of the asterisk 1.8.11 realtime, Some info i could find, other not yet, and so, no telecom yet...

80  LinuxMCE / Installation issues / Re: Unable to add generic pc as MD - templete 28 on: September 16, 2012, 09:52:36 pm
Sound like you have not enabled PXE boot or 'network boot' on the machine you are trying to use as an MD.  If you PXE boot the machine it will be automagically detected as an MD and install all the correct templates.  Do not attempt to do this manually!

J.

Hi J.
The whole environment is the same i had with 8.10, where the MD worked (core, md, switches, ip phones, ata, z-wave, etc... The only change is is the new 10.04.
Thats why i'm asking about template 28. Yes, i also did run the create TB?? (don't remember exactly the name) before trying to boot the md.
Thx,
Paulo
81  LinuxMCE / Installation issues / Re: Unable to add generic pc as MD - templete 28 on: September 16, 2012, 09:31:00 pm
to be clear...

MDs do not use the hard drive. You set it to boot to the network in the machines bios. If it is asking you if you want to add a hard drive, then you would have to be connecting it after it is booted to... something else.

Because trying to have it automagically discoverr did not work... it asks if i want to add a file server... which is not the case.

Translation of the above: when i connect the diskless pc via the ethernet cable to the network, lmce 10.04 UI pops up a message asking if i want to add a new file server, which could not be, because the diskless pc does not contains a hard drive, and it uses the nfs exported drives.... and i did not say that MDs uses a hard drive. Or did i say and could not find it in the message?

so, any hint in how to solve? i guess not, so so, for the third time in 3 days i will install the whole system again from ground zero: spa3102 does not work, my sip line are mute for incoming and outgoing, the diskless media server is recognized as a file server.....

84  LinuxMCE / Developers / Missing asterisk directives. on: September 16, 2012, 02:23:26 pm
Hya,

installing my sip line (voipcheap), i did note it did not register.
So, looking into the database, table ast_config, i noted that some directives were missing.

Code:
83 0 18 0 sip.conf general alwaysauthreject yes
85 0 18 0 sip.conf general nat                        yes
86 0 60 0 sip.conf general externhost        mydyndns.homeunix.org
87 0 5 0 sip.conf general externrefresh        5
88 0 60 0 sip.conf general localnet               192.168.80.0/255.255.255.0
89 0 9 0 sip.conf general allow                g729
90 0 10 0 sip.conf general allow                g723
91 0 101 0 sip.conf general register                pwollny:XXXXXXXXX@sip.voipcheap.com/2062036594
The 83 is very inportant for fail2ban and 85-88 to have the NAT.
I also would like to know which are the rules for cat_metric and var_metric.

Anyway, my sip line register, but i keep getting
Code:
> doing dnsmgr_lookup for 'sip.voipcheap.com'
       > doing dnsmgr_lookup for 'sip.voipcheap.com'
       > doing dnsmgr_lookup for 'sip.voipcheap.com'
       > doing dnsmgr_lookup for 'sip.voipcheap.com'
       > doing dnsmgr_lookup for 'sip.voipcheap.com'
in the asterisk verbose, i can place calls, but no sound incoming and outgoing and receiving a call is rejected with "no service message" in my asterisk.

Way to solve it?

TIA

85  LinuxMCE / Installation issues / Re: PC as Media Director (PXE) on: September 16, 2012, 11:43:39 am
when i select this, the MD directly reboots. And comes back to the original UI.
Seems that the wizard doesn't want to come up...

Same problem with UI here.

And the network delay is also too high. Rechecked cables, switches, interfaces, and all are ok, same used 5 days ago with lmce 8.10, when i decided to install 10.04.
Seems related to rsyslogd. I'm trying to find out what could be, but need to learn a lot of new configs, changed from kubuntu 8.10 to 10.04 LTS.

Hya,
lmce 10.04 installed, SIP line configured, asterisk shows it's registered
Code:
dcerouter*CLI> sip show registry

I call to the number from my mobile, no of the phones (obiter and cisco 7970) rings, i hear the message "the number...(ss-noservice.gsm)   and asterisk shows the following:

90  LinuxMCE / Users / Radio on 10.04 .m3u? on: September 13, 2012, 03:56:26 pm
Hya,

is file type .m3u supported under the radio scenario?
Tested .pls and works well, but .m3u does not play.
Example: http://www.radioswisspop.ch/live/mp3.m3u
If supported, what is to be done?

BR,

Paulo
