Posde,
i live in Brazil, but will buy all in Germany or USA. In Brazil the prices are simply X rated.
TIA,

So, before beginning to blame the new asterisk combo, i inserted the following in the database:
83    0    18    0    sip.conf    general    alwaysauthreject    yes
85    0    18    0    sip.conf    general    nat                            yes
86    0    60    0    sip.conf    general    externhost            mydyndns.homeunix.org
87    0    5    0    sip.conf    general    externrefresh            5
88    0    60    0    sip.conf    general    localnet                   192.168.80.0/255.255.255.0
89    0    9    0    sip.conf    general    allow                    g729
90    0    10    0    sip.conf    general    allow                    g723
91    0    101    0    sip.conf    general    register                    pwollny:XXXXXXXXX@sip.voipcheap.com/2062036594
Also did set SIP_ANON yes.
As as i told before: All three trunks were working, with trunk selection by dialplan, without glitches.
I'm not an asterisk guru, did research a lot in order to make it work, to understand how to build the dialpan and to have all working, and now all i learned is worth zero.
I don't know if it's a bug, if it's a configuration issue, i'm not finding out how to proceed with config. Is there any at least medium documentation where i can find help? I could not find any.
That's all.

Installation issues / LMCE as complete security system.
« on: October 17, 2012, 02:51:20 am »
Hi,
i did purchase a 20.000 sq feet land yard and will build a new house. I'm planning to use lmce as the heart and core of this new house and also be the security controller.
Which would be the best technology integrated with lmce to build up the security, with perimeter and motion sensors, alarm panels and lightning, to have it secure? KNX, Z-wave, X-10?
Help are very welcome.
TIA,
Paulo

Posde,
1 - Linksys SPA-3102 - no way to make it register, and so, no landline.
2 - voipcheap -  needed to add SIP_ANON yes - calling my DID number from my mobile, my home phone rings, outgoing sound works (i hear on the mobile), incoming voice (from mobile) cannot be heared on the home phone. Calling from home to outside, it takes almost 5 minutes to calling phone (my mobile) to ring, and no sound in or out.
3 - sipgate.de - does not register. Nothing happens.
All three trunks were working on the 8.10 release. Hardware is the same: core/hybrid, cisco phone, linksys spa-3102, router, adsl modem, all exactly the same. The only change was from 8.10 to 10.04.
So, i'm digging for the last 40 days for a solution, but no way to make it work. Too less documentation about. I'm out of knowledge to find out what is wrong, as all worked before.
TIA,
Paulo

How about a front end takes looks like freepbx, with sections divided, would make live much easier..... there are too many variables and a very simple interface, or better, a no interface make it all a PITA. I'm fighting with it for some weeks, and no results. No even ONE trunk is working, and a had THREE working with 8.10, all configured with freepbx and working like a charm. So, IMHO, it may be very good having asterisk with realtime database, but there is almost no documentation about, and worst, i could not find anyone using it to get a help and discuss how to make my old configs work with this combo.

The hint is... xine is working, mplayer isn't.

Lol, if this were true, i would not need to change the prefix to make it play  ;D , but maybe some codec is missing, etc...

Whatever, i will find out why and how... i was only asking if someone have this issue and was able to solve, so time is optimized...

I'll tell you when i get the answer.

Hi,

i'm facing problems with sound in some video files, specially mkv and mp4. Some mp4 plays audio and video well, others only audio and plays sound when extension is changed from mp4 to m2ts (which makes mplayer to play it instead of xine).
Some mkv do not outputs sound even changing the suffix from mkv to m2ts.

The output from aplay -L is:
Code: [Select]
dcerouter_1031272:/var/log/pluto# aplay -L
null
Discard all samples (playback) or generate zero samples (capture)

Installation issues / Re: Use LMCE directory structure - other?
« on: September 21, 2012, 01:31:29 am »
There is a known bug, where RAID entries are set with their PK_Users value set to Public.

The fix is to log into the web admin, Advanced > configuration > Devices, select the RAID device
Find the PK_Users device data, and set it to Use LMCE File Structure.
Save.
Reboot.

-Thom

Exactly what i did, but all remained under the "other" directory. Deleting this directory solved the problem.

Installation issues / Use LMCE directory structure - other?
« on: September 21, 2012, 12:48:32 am »
Hya,
my raid 5 array, with all my media, which worked on lmce 8.10 was also added to lmce 10.04, and i defined to use LMCE directory structure, as used under 8.10.
The strange is that an "other" directory is created and so there is no more public and private files.
Is it normal for 10.04?

Well, it seams that for a fast fix, maybe building a smal asterisk server and making it serve lmce as the sip provider is a dirty but reliable solution :) I will think about, as for the last two weeks i'm trying to get at least voipcheap to work, but no luck :)

Hi J.
MD booted PXE, and all was automagically created, AVWizard showed up fine and worked.
Thx a lot for the inittab hint!

Developers / Re: Missing asterisk directives.
« on: September 20, 2012, 10:44:47 pm »
Hi Carlos,
i did set ALLOW_SIP_ANON = yes,
When i call from my mobile to my DID which routes to voipcheap, my phone rings. When i pick up, i talk and can hear in my mobile.
When i talk in the mobile i CANNOT hear in my home phone.
Calling from my home phone to my mobile, nothing happens.
So, calling from outside to home works, and only sound out, no sound in.
Calling out does not work.
Did you test voipcheap?
TIA,
Paulo

If there are problems in 1004's asterisk they will get fixed, if usable trac tickets are created, and people revisit those tickets to answer questions, and/or visit IRC to talk to foxi directly about it. But first, open tickets for each and every asterisk problem you encounter.

btw: Asterisk is working nicely for me under LinuxMCE 1004 with some grandstream phones and a single SIP channel to a provider.

Posde,
which sip provider ar you using?
