Hia,
today i connected my Roku Soundbridge to my lmce network.
It was recognized, slimserver plugin was installed, it was automatically included under AV Devices (webadmin), controlled by Slim Server Streammer ... pretty fine.
The only work was starting Connection Wizard and setting audio pipes.
After then i created a media scenario for it (Soundbridge), and after regen & reload, selecting Media -> Soundbridge, it selects the right amplifier input and plays.
Beautifull!
But, i found some problems:
1) under A/V Properties, i'm not being able to insert the IR codes for this Roku, so it turns off when i select OFF.
2) when trying to use this Roku to browse core audio files, first it came up with a message to update software from dcerouter, next, it went from version 1 to 33, and came up with the message it was updated and lost connection to dcerouter, rebooted and came up with the same update message.
3) selecting mediatomb as source for files, some files showed, but could not play any of them.
Any hints about the 3 problems?
TIA,
Paulo

Users / After Update, no more EPG
« on: June 10, 2010, 08:11:18 pm »
Hia,
until the last update (v4l drivers), i had EPG working well under mythtv. After the upgrade, this script downloads the EPG, mythfilldatabase is executed with no errors, but EPG does not shows anymore.
Anyone experienced this?
TIA,
Paulo

Installation issues / webadmin update erases configuration.
« on: June 10, 2010, 03:12:21 pm »
Hia,
every time webadmin is updated, the file /etc/apache2/ports.conf is replaced by the default one.
I do have the https port enabled (for outside access) and everytime i need to include the following line:
Listen 443 https
I think that it could be included as part of the default ports.conf file, so users who uses https connection wouldn't need to include it every time.
Just a suggestion.....
TIA,
Paulo

Installation issues / Tira 2 installation problems.
« on: June 03, 2010, 05:07:50 pm »
Hia,
i've installed the Tira 2 OEM (internal board), it's recognized under linuxmce start (#186 Tira (Pluto)), but no way to make it work.
I've downloaded Tira.tar.gz file, unpacked it under /usr/pluto/bin, did the symlink of /usr/pluto/bin/libTiraAPI.so to /usr/pluto/lib/libTiraAPI.so, rebooted the core and it does not works.
Under lsusb, i get:

Installation issues / Security - speak to the house not working.
« on: June 01, 2010, 12:59:06 am »
Hia,
today i started the configuration of the security system of lmce, and after setting the security to "Armed", the camera detected movement, and started the security procedures, calling my cell phone, offering me the option to speak to the person in the house (press 5 to speak).
I did press 5, spoke, and no sound was heard.
I repeated the security breach, and again, no sound could be heard.
The sound system is active (i can hear audio files, the security countdown, etc...), but can not speak to the house.
Any hint of what could be happening would be mostly appeciated.
TIA,
Pauo

Users / Tagging audio media.
« on: May 09, 2010, 05:29:14 pm »
Hia,
i would like to tag all the audio media to file format = CD Quality. The only way i've found was entering the directory (webadmin -> media filesync) , selecting the directory and tagging each file and files under the desired directory. Is there a way to apply the tag to all the files under the desired directory?
TIA,
Paulo

Users / Playlists
« on: May 06, 2010, 08:48:03 pm »
Hia,
Two simple questions:
1) where are playlists stored?
2) Is there a way to create playlist in picklist way, instead of playing the media and adding it to a playlist (a very insane way, IMHO)?
TIA,
Paulo

Hia,
My problem is when using the follow me feature. Playing a video (avi, m2ts, etc) using xine or mplayer working fine started on core/hybrid. Follow me - transfer the playing to the MD. Video is transfered, xine or mplayer started and the video plays stop - go - stop - go. Transfering back to core/hybrid, the video plays fine.
The same happens when starting the playback on the md. follow me to core/hybrid brings the same result: stop - go - stop - go... transfering back to md and the the video plays fine.
When using Live TV, the follow me works fine, with no problem.
Did anyone faced this problem?
I have posted the same question at http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php?topic=10000.0, but no answer yet.
Is there something that i need to do to have it working fine?
TIA,
Paulo

Users / Problem with follow me - Xine / Mplayer jitters when playing
« on: April 22, 2010, 05:24:26 am »
Hia,
from yesterday (after updating / upgrading kubutntu kde4 and pluto last week), a problem arised when "follow me". The last time i used follow me was last week.
When playing a video (any kind of), using the flooplan and transfering it from the core/hybrid to the md, it begins to jitter (play / stop /play / stop), and when transfering back to the core/hybrid, it plays without problem. Doing the same with Live TV, no problem.
Did anyone faced this problem?
TIA,
Paulo

« on: April 21, 2010, 04:43:47 pm »
Hia,
yesterday i did an apt-get update & upgrade, and kde4 and several libs were updated.
After it happened, i did a reboot and linuxmce does not starts anymore. The kde login screen appears.
Anyone faced this problem? Could someone point me the way solve it?
TIA!
Paulo

Users / [SOLVED] Problem with PVR-500 and Media Director
« on: April 18, 2010, 09:50:04 pm »
Hia,
today i changed the PVR-150 (1 tuner) by a PVR-500 (2 tuners). After i did it,
i can watch TV (tuner 1) on my core/hybrid and watch TV (tuner 2) on my MD.
But there is something weird going on. On the MD, while watching TV the image and the OSD freezes for a large time (more than minute) when i get the menu (F7), becoming unresponsive. After it responds again, each key i hit make the same behavior happens.
It only happens when watching TV.
Did anyone experienced this problem before?
TIA,
Paulo
