Users / Dianemo S: Tagging of MP3s and Double Tags

i realized that Dianemo is double tagging mp3s.
i am using an external windows software for tagging the files.
if i - e.g. add an correctly tagged album to dianemo it looks ok.
If i change something for example Album to something else externally, than dianemo resyncs it, but adds the new album as a second album tag in each file. So the album tag is existing 2 times. and the album is existing two times.
Same is for all other tags.

This is an issue i had long time ago with linuxmce.
It seems not to be fixed in dianemo.

So if i have utf-8,16 or iso tagged mp3 with an Umlaut in the title or performer, than dianemo will convert it to a different unreadable character.

so how should i tag my files, to have them right in to dianemo?

(don't know, how many times i re-tagged them outside of dianemo)

Installation issues / Dianemo S: Big Fonts in LMCE Launch Manager

After installation of the dianemo s, i got following behaviour, that the lmce launch box and all website, i start under "computing" have very big fonts, so that it is nearly not usable.

All other things are normal. means the UI and also the desktop is fine.

This is only on the Core. On the media director its quite normal, but resolution is only 1024x768 while on the core we have fullHD

Installation issues / Suggestion for Motion detection

hi,

I've played around some days with a trickle star, aeron labs usb controller, a düwi light switch and an EZmotion sensor.

the initial idea was, as soon as a motion is happening the lights should go on. i am thinking of lightning in a e.g. corridor at night.
1. The sensor is tripped
2. The light should stay on a few seconds, to a minute and went down again after that time.
3. if two minutes later again the sensor is tripped, the light should go on again.

I believe that is not a big part - but i am not able of managing it. item 1-2 is working, with a response to event item. Switching the light switch on giving dcerouter an idle timeout and then switching light out again.
Unfortunately the motion detector does not "rearm". Means the second "tripped" is not fired at all.

so i read in the wiki, that one can reconfigure the ezmotion, to shorten the motion time from 20 minutes to 1 minute. So i did that. don't know if the command got to the device, but the behavior is the same than above.

So question: is my scenario in general workable with the devices above? If not, can someone suggest a device (motion) which can fulfill those requirement?

Installation issues / Ezmotion - Motion Detection

Maybe i am too studpid or have an understanding problem.
These are my first steps in setting up z-wave. i do not know the products neither the technolgie. its only a rudimental understanding.

i set up the device like it is described in the wiki.
Everything seem to work nice. In the floorplan i can see some temperatur.

then i setup a respnse to events:

A sensor (door/window/motion/etc.) is tripped
choose the sensor, action, light a zwave dimmer.

this is working as long as the led on the ezmotion is blinking (means for the first time)
After that the light stays on.
The led of the EZMotion will go dark after a certain time and will not get out of standbye anymore.
I have to press the blue pin.

So my question: (i know the thing about the motion and the minutes)

Does a motion sensor makes sense if it goes to standbye?
shouldn't it report every motion (which is outside of the ezmotion defined time of motion length)?

So is this a normal behaviour, or did i missconfigured it?

Installation issues / Network prob

since some time, the network after reboot is not working corretcly, thoug i can access local hosts on either internal and external, i can not access internet. When i go to advanced/network and press update, all is working again....

can someone point me into the right direction?

Installation issues / HDD Probs

Linuxmce latest alpha.

The core has 3 hdd in it.
1 for booting and two for media storage (no raid)
under device tree, the devices are stored correctly and updatemedia, has no prob to access them.

After rebooting the core every time, the devices are still in device tree but not accessible anymore.
Ive have to delete them and wait for lmce to redetect them....

Any hints, whats wrong?

i got the poblem, that all call are routed to the "thank you for calling, if you know the extions number...."
under inbound routes the destination is ste to Cust App: custom-linuxmce, 102,1
(if i put it to the extions of the phone 205 it works flawless, but i think that i snot the right way)

i set call routing for all status (at home, away etc pp.) to ring extension 205 (and even tried to call all extensions)
and i set the security status to unarmed.

but always the lady :-)

anyone knows?

Installation issues / 0810 and IP Cameras

i've put some ip cameras in the network. (panasonic bl-c1).
they all got a ip adress through the core.
i can access them through the normal camera web interface by this ip adress.

orbiter says, "new device found PANASONIC".

but if i look under cameras, the ip adress is completely different. mac adress is ok.

with a second brand (which is detected as a dlink, but isn't ) the same. ip adress different from real on and under make adress there is just a "via"

whats wrong and what can i do?

Installation issues / 0810 Install #2

After having some troubles with the asterisk, where i thought, i have something missconfigured, i started over, and made a clean 810 install. Here are the steps and the point where i am stucked:

The hardware setup is quite easy: internet through router, which is connected to the core (single NIC):

set router to dhcp

install 8.10
installed all updates through kde
installed language pack through kde
installed nvidia latest driver 98
reboot
open terminal from within kde

sudo su
aptitude update
aptitude dist-upgrade

wget -c http://deb.linuxmce.org/ubuntu/new-installer-alpha-latest.tar.gz
tar xvf new-installer-alpha-latest.tar.gz
cd new-installer
./pre-install-from-repo.sh
./mce-install.sh
./post-install.sh
reboot

AVWizard came up
Setup Wizard came up

while setup wizard downloaded files, changed to kde
open dcerouter/admin in webbrowser
changed to advanced/network/network settings
ticked enable dhcp server, inputed 192.168.80.2 - 192.168.80.100
ticked provide ip adresses fopr anonymous, inputed 192.168.80.101 - 192.168.80.253
Ticked use static ip adress under External network card eth0
inputed 192.168.1.4
255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.1.1
nameserver 192.168.1.1
updated
closed browser
changed to setup wizard again, waited for reboot

after lmce came up, opened admin web on different windows pc

first task was to setup Asterisk
followed  http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Sipgate.co.uk

After setting up the phone lines and the phone through advanced/devices/phone lines
i ticked the orange bar and it throew an error. Something to do with permissions. from previous installations i knew that i had to chmod the following files:

After that the settings where saved and a reload was done WITHOUT any errors. (the only errors whrere the known ones, but even they exist, the asterisk normally works fine - could not reload FOB Server and Mysql Password)
if i looked under /wizard/devices/phone lines, it says sip account registered.

after the next reboot i went back to asterisk advanced configuration

the status was

BTW, it already run one time, on a different install.....But now i haven't installed or mixed up anything, just do it step by step.

Installation issues / ASterisk reinstall?

after setting up the core aqnd many other things, i started to configure asterisk. i didn't touched any conf files, but a sipaccount through the admin page.
if i look under advanced/configuration/phones
and press the orange "apply configration" following message appears

seems asterisk is not started at all. netstat doesn't show anything on port 5038.

is there a easy way (without insatalling whole core) to "reinstall" the asterisk/freepbx to clean state?!

Installation issues / mount call failed: 13

on a 810 alpha 2.21 installation i got this error message on md.
the image was build fine, after second boot:

this is looping many times.

then:

begin: running /scripts/nfs-bottom ...
done.

begin: running /scripts/init-bottom ...
mount: mounting /root/dev on /dev/.static/dev failed: No such file or directory
done.
mount: mounting /sys on /root/sys failed
mount: mounting /proc on /root/proc failed
Target filesystem doesn't have /sbin/init
no init found. try poassing init= bootarg.

busybox v1.10.2

how can i solve this problem?
setup diskless and rebuilding image doesn't help.
