LinuxMCE / Users / Re: Asterisk hacked

It's the reason why I refused to make LinuxMCE my home network's gateway/firewall. LMCE is a big beast and I don't know enough about it to trust it.
I have the same, so how can we catagorize or solve this problem?

810 im holding off on 1004 for the whole house till its farther along but ill be testing it virtualy when i get this going problem is im useing what was laying around if i bought MD that i knew were compatable wouldnt be so tricky XD Old? was still in beta a year ago guess goes to show how fast things change, not to mention this kinda scared me away from hooking it to the house. Alpha :: Considered to be "bleeding edge". Give it a try if you are able to fix problems alongside the developers
ill likely test 1004 on a spare old box, have enough of them laying about ^_^
just out of curiosity could you run it on Ubuntu or is there more different then just KDE vs Gnome
1004 is still alpha, because we still cannot produce DVD-snapshots. 1004 being an alpha is quite solid. But always on own risk of course.

LinuxMCE / Users / Re: Considering coming back to LinuxMCE ... Status of 1004 support for Intel graphic

Thanks for the reply,...
Good to know about the secondary controller status... MCV has been crapping the bed when it comes to supporting their devices and rolling out new fixes. I refuse to update past their UI2 on Vera1 because of that & their security model...
So LinuxMCE would just pick up the z-wave devices/scenes automatically, or do they need to be set up in LinuxMCE's web portal setup??? It's been ages since I played with LMCE...
Also, anyone with Intel GMA945 experience with LMCE 1004??? That was the show stopper for me a few years ago...
By the way, if anyone doesn't know about the Obi110 ATA, it's a POTS to VOIP bridge, similar to the SPA-3102, and actually developed by the same people. Very easy to set up,... And I'm thinking that LMCE's Asterisk implementation could be set up along side Google Voice as the second available service for the thing. Real cheap too. $50 US as opposed to $70 US for the Sipura/Lynksys ATA.
GMA945 I have no idea, it is quite an old chipset. I have had succes with the GMA 3150 in 1004, see the wiki, shuttle x50v2

I uninstalled the earlier version I got from Golgoj4/5 and installed through the app-market. It says it is installed. When I run it I see that my old settings are still filled in. (I unstalled the app but it saves the settings) It tries to load default skin and then crashes.
HTC Z Desire 2.4.4.
Also good job for getting it in the app store, thanks for your persistence and hard work.

LinuxMCE / Installation issues / Re: MOBO and CPU

I plan to build a mini itx HTPC and install linuxmce on it. I will initally use this unit as a hybird, and later build another core for expansion and use this as a media director. What is a class of Mobo and CPU that is more compatabile with Linux. I want to minimize my driver issues. THANKS
Avoid via chipsets. get an nvidia video card, get a good NIC (pref intel), you need two nics. Any current proc is good.

HTC Desire Z android 2.3.3.
Installed it, when I try to get into it in landscape I see the config screen with buttons, but it is aligned on the left and squashed. e.g. text is too big, and the screens are to small e.g. 192.168.80.1 is massive, and the block it is in too small. My fingers cannot press it, so I do not know if touchscreen doesn't work or my fingers too big/or input box too small.
Apparently this is a know bug, and golgoj5 is working on it to fix. It is because the splash screen is pre-packeged. The solution would be to make it relative. No need for ticket.

LinuxMCE / Developers / Re: Solicitation for Development: Desktop / Workstation Agent

this will probly be my next project after qOrbiter. Being able to extend automation to things running on other devices and having control of those devices could be a powerful thing. For example, I was thinking various aspects of desktop integration from integrating with the shell itself to being able to start/shutdown other machines. As far as phones, with the various sensors and such, who knows whats even possible. but, qorbiter 1st -golgoj4 What would be cool is if I could watch tv / movies /listen to music through the desktop agent / a la orbiter/md. Alas I am an idiot, I can only dream After reading the wiki I see that is a possibility.

Hi All,
Anybody have successfully to connected the PLCBus 2027 appliance to Linuxmce? I had added the PLCBus 1141 RS232 to linuxmce and it had "buzzes" sound, is it means successfully to connected? After that adedd a Light switch (on/off) for PLCBus 2027, and pressed the 2027 setup button until it blinking, and I tried to send on command to it, the 1141 was had "buzzes" sound when I sending the on command. But PLCBus 2027 still not working. Anyone else can help me on this issue?
I was checking the PLCBUS log while pressed the on command, it was came out "Sendcount exceed, this was the last sent attempt, removing job... <0xb70adb90>"
Thanks
I have the same now. What linuxmce are you using? What is the 2027? An appliance switch?
