Nightly apk fixed for me too.
As discussed with Foxi earlier today, resolving doesn't work, so you need to use your core's IP address not hostname (for the time being)

As am I. The error appears right after the splash, before it gets to the loading status messages. I had working qorbiters a while back but have since:
a) reinstalled my CORE b) updated qorbiter version from Google play (dated June 17th, 2012)
I'm getting the same error described on both my HTC one x and Transformer Prime tablet. I I've tried completely uninstalling qorbiter and ministro, and reinstalling. No luck.

... once I have someone else back in the house who I can commission to go and perform in front of the camera. The dogs have not been trained to that degree.
You might ask bongowongo... I gather he's fairly experienced with this :p

But this is not new. If I am not mistaken there where special projects where you could pay TSCHAK and he will do it. But I agree with possy that for the majority this project is a hobby, the fun factor should still be there. We would have to find a modus where we can do both.
There's a consensus that there's a lack of developers on this project, right?. While it's ideal to have developers join the team out of their own interests and for fun, isn't the next best thing to hire them with donated money? I liken this to my ongoing home reno. For fun, I wanted to do the whole thing myself, and I am capable, but it would just take too long... so I hired a contractor to install flooring and for a few other tasks. If we manage to make even bigger strides with some hired help, wouldn't that feed back into more (for-fun) developer interest?

I don't believe that the LMCE firewall is capable of doing port forwarding, but essentially you would port forward 1234 to port 22 on the internal machine.
Why not? I use port forwarding for RDP to an internal machine all the time.

I'm actively reaching out to friends and family, and friends and family of friends and family... So far: two interested parties, but I'm still in the process of explaining the requirements and trying to give them a crash course on how the system works.

I think that groundloop would be caused by the cable touching a metal casing. It being chasis or from the Tv or Amp or DVD Player.
Karel
Could be... They can form through power grounds, signal grounds, chassis grounds. Could be a problem with house wiring, the way you have your equipment connected, and/or bad grounding design in just one piece of equipment in your setup. Best way to diagnose them is to strip your AV setup down to the bare minimum to see if it can be eliminated. Try other outlets in your house. Try another house. Swap out a piece of equipment for a different model. Be systematic. To bring the conversation back on topic it doesn't make sense to me to design LMCE for optical just because it provides ground loop protection, since this isn't a problem for most people. I prefer optical over HDMI because downstream of my MD I don't mix audio and video in any device, and I don't want to need a receiver which can separate the two.

hell no. btw the features request forum is elsewhere. this one is DEVELOPERS. Meaning people with intentions of, or who are currently DEVELOPING. not being looky-loo's or making inane suggestions on every damned topic. oi!
>.<
Admins: we need to start enforcing forum rules. kinda tired of this.
Jasp is just enthusiastic.... and learning the system.... I'm sure he'll contribute once he's got his bearings.

I'm trying to get graphic designers (including friends and family) interested in helping with the skinning for qorbiter. Unlike the programming world there doesn't seem to be a pool of designers interested in volunteering their services to a project like this, as designers seem to be approached daily for these things and have a hard enough time making ends meat without these time sinks.
golgoj's efforts at getting a competition going are valiant and hopefully they bear fruit. If we had a donation scheme in place however, a grand or two in fees could get us what we're looking for.
I suppose I'm advocating the spelling out of what the community (or devs) feel the project NEEDS, and giving donors the option of donating towards those goals.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you could:
1) Control directly from LMCE temporarily 2) Configure the sensitivity 3) Return the device to the Vera
and the sensitivity setting would be maintained. I don't know if the memory on the device is volatile however.
