Hi Andrew,

You ship these PC's out with MCE on them.  I am sure I saw them on your website before it gave me a virus. 

What bios version do you use?
Do you use HDMI?
What are your bios settings?
Do you have an additions to MCE to make it work with the MSI Media Live?

New cable, new rebuild, unmuted in alsamiser and still no joy.

What am I doing wrong?

Will build with mythbuntu and windows I think if I get no joy from MCE.

Please someone help before I give up.........

I did as you said and unmuted the IEC958 in the alsamixer, but still no joy.
Should I be able to put the volume up on it?  I could unmute, but not adjust the volume.
Can you send me a screen shot of your alsamixer so I can compare please. 

My Bios is 1.63 if that is any help.

I think there could be a conflict with an old TV card I have in there which I will remove and then rebuild from scratch using MCE 710 x86 DVD.
I have also ordered another HDMI cable just in case.  The one I am using is brand new but I have seen several people say that this has worked.  Not necessarily for linuxmce.

Screenshot would be great though.

Forgot to mention that when I hooked it up to new tv, it was using HDMI.
 

Hi Guys,

I have MSI Media Live and was using it via scart to a CRT TV.
This worked fine, but picture was a bit naff.

I Bought a new 32" HD TV last night and hooked up my MSI with linux 710 and got a great picture.
However, I can not get the audio to work.

TKmedia, what did you have to do to get this working?  I have read in varoius places about disabling the on board audio and choosing SPIF Coax in the AV setup.  This didnt work.

I am very new to linux and have been playing with linuxmce for the last 2 months.  This is what prompted me to buy the MSI. 

Any help would be great.
