Update, if I go to "http://localhost:9000" I get the SqueezeCenter, from there I can play music on both devices (Boom & Receiver) but if I play a song on the MD, and go to the FloorPlan and select the squeezbox no audio output ???
In the past I don't remember I did anything special to do that !!!!

So it looks like SqueezCenter sees my devices but not LMCE !!!

Any Ideas on how to register SqueezeBoxes with 810 LMCE ??

Luke,

I just noticed that SqueezeCenter is using my external IP address of the Hybrid, and not the internal, also if I go to (Advanced/Configuration/SLIM Server) it says Loading SqueezeCenter but nothing happened !! How do you set SqueezeCenter IP to 192.168.80.1 ??? Because both players set for 192.168.80.1 SqueezeCenter server.

Thanks.

Did anyone experience problem with the Squeezebox in 810 Alpha 2.23??

I had both boxes (SqueezeBox Receiver &SqueezeBox Boom)  working in the earlier version of 810 now I reinstalled 810, and got both detected and assigned an IP but no sounds output from them.

Both  SqueezeBox player's info shows not registered and Status =” **RUN_CONFIG** !!

here’s what I got from the Slim Server Streamer log of

Installation issues / Re: ASterisk reinstall?
« on: June 27, 2009, 07:47:27 am »
Quick update, reinstalling 810 on a new HD, got all my devices back in action.
I had to do this, because updating every week for the last few months my system became unstable for some reason.

Charlie,

Colin,
I definitely think there is a problem with the unlock feature "pluto-admin > advanced > Configuration > Unknown devices " if I understand it correctly, after unlocking the device or shared folder, reloading the router, and re-powering the device the system should ask you if you want to use the device or shared folder again, where in my case everytime I re-powered my DNS-323 new entry of each shared folder get created in the PnpQueue table I had 3 shares on my NAS, so when I searched the Queue table there was about 12 entries, again I think someone who knows this part should verify the functionality of the unlock feature, because it is useful for people who want to unblock certain shared folder on the NAS at later time!!!

Here's a solution in case you made a mistake and ignored a Plug n Play device and you selected "No, and ignore every time. Don't ask again for this device." , or the Unlock command did not work for you, and that what happened to me.

1) Turn off the device first, in my case was DNS-323
2) Log in to the Mysql database "sudo mysql -uroot"
3) Select the table from the database "use pluto_main"
4) View all the devices in the queue, and locate the IP address of the device in question "SELECT * FROM PnpQueue;"
5) View all rows of the device to be sure, you should see at lease 3 rows "SELECT * FROM PnpQueue where IPaddress=’192.168.80.130’;"
6) Delete all rows related to the above IP address " DELETE FROM PnpQueue WHERE IPaddress=’192.168.80.130’;"
7) Quit Mysql "quit"
8) Reload the router
9) Turn ON the device
10) Now Linuxmce will detect the device automatically "PnP"
11) Done  :)

Cheers,
Charlie

Users / Re: WAYNE-DALTON Z-WAVE® THERMOSTAT
« on: June 25, 2009, 07:13:51 am »
Hari,

I just installed 810 on a new HD, I'm using “Mi Casa Verde“ USB Dungle, I  have connected 3 Zwave devices, light switch, motion detector, and WaynDalton http://www.homecontrols.com/cgi-bin/main/co_disp/displ/prrfnbr/12155/sesent/00/Wayne-Dalton-Z-Wave-Thermostat

All devices work as expected except the Thermostat as you know, only commands that work are "Heat" & "Cool"
I attached my DCERouter.log, FYI.
Please let me know if there anything I can do to help you out.

Cheers,
Charlie

I just rebuilt my 810 Hybrid, by mistake I clicked "No, and ignore every time. Don't ask again for this device." for my Dlink "DNS-323".

So I went to "pluto-admin > advanced > Configuration > Unknown devices " and I unlocked the device and rebooted my hybrid, no luck to redetect it again, then I followed the instruction in the wiki http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Re-Detecting_Plug_and_Play_Devices I saw there is 3 records in the "PnpQueue" Table,  because I see the same Mac address of the DNS323 3 times ??? if I understand the table correctly it should have only one Mac address per record!!!

So, I'm not sure what is the best way to delete these records, so it will get detected again next reload !!! Or I just install the device manually??

Thanks,
Charlie

I updated my system last night to the latest 810 release, 2.23, Asterisk was already installed and working fine both incoming and outgoing calls, then I added insteon, Zwave and HDMomerun after that Asterisk stopped working and I get the above error:
Quote
Connecting to Asterisk manager interface..FAILED
[FATAL] Asterisk Manager Connection Failure Failed to connect to the Asterisk manager through port: 5038

I would appreciate any suggestion!!

I Just want to give an update on my status with Insteon setup, the 7.10 with direct serial port to the hybrid worked without any problem first try, my LMCE 810 Alpha 2.21 with USB2Serial adapter, now is working, with the following modifications:
1) changing default value of "#37 COM port on PC" to "/dev/ttyUSB0"
2) select "pci0000:00/0000:00:02.0+5" from the drop down list of the device data COM Port on PC
3) Created 88_InsteonPLM.sh (for Plug n Play) per Wiki instructions

I attached the data exchanged between LMCE with PLM module if someone interested.

This is the same code in the wiki page, without the extra HTML characters when you use copy and paste.

BTW, I just updated my 810 to Alpha 2.21, now I see commands exchange between the host(USB2Serial adapter) and the PLM, but LMCE can not detect the "OutletLinc" light for some reason, I need to do some comparison with my 710 setup, which is working perfect.

Seth,
I attached the Ruby code I used in my 710 Insteon PLM setup for your reference.

No, still an open issue for me.
Do you have similar issue??

I was hopping to get the Vista panel working so I can use it as a reference to make the Elk M1 working, because the basics are almost identical.
