Users / Problem playing liveTV using MythTV
« on: August 01, 2010, 07:17:11 am »
MythTV is not playing LiveTV, the reason I believe is the way I have setup my storage, I have 2 HD on the Core and a NAS, I blocked first HD and the NAS from automatic access by LinuxMCE, I want only the second drive to be use by LinuxMCE, so now mythTV is not playing Live TV because I believe is trying to access the first drive, can someone show me how to setup MythTV to use the second drive only (sdb1), I looked at this post but I could not find anything on how to set up the storage by MythWeb per Merkur2k reply http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php?topic=8498.msg66816#msg66816
I attached my Mythweb storage setup.

P.S. I'm using Snapshot #23165
Thanks

I just found out, when installing a zwave motion sensor "ZIR000" in snapshot #23165, using Sarah, two "Generic Sensors" get created one under (Zwave=>Zwave embedded security interf) which is OK, and a second one under (Core) which is not OK, and causing after reload to get "Orbiter cannot register with the router. Please try again later", I attached a snapshot that depict what I just mentioned.

Solution:
Delete the sensor under the Core and regenerate the oribiter and reload the router, everything is ok at this point.

P.S> I installed this zWave setup many times in the past no issues found, this is the first time I see this.

FYI, when installing zwave sensor and selecting sensor type, Sarah ask you if want to change the name "Generic Sensor" and hit "Next"==> in this screen there is no "Next Button", in order to continue you need to select "Done Button"
I'm using snapshot #23165

P.S. I noticed this in 710 and 810, did not have a chance to record it & I'm not sure if someone else recoded this either.

Users / How to re-enable the oribter to resume where you left off
« on: March 12, 2010, 05:20:02 am »
Anyone knows how to bring back the question from the orbiter to resume watching the movie where you left off, apparently my little one disabled it from the orbiter, and I couldn't find out how to re-enable it.

Thanks.

Developers / Building from source
« on: March 08, 2010, 05:09:50 am »
I'm following this link to build my development environment http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Building_LinuxMCE_0810
I was able to run the preparation steps one by one then I run "./build.sh" and I can see all packages created/moved to "/var/www"
after installing apache2 on the builder machine, I moved to the test machine and I did "pre-install-from-repo.sh" per "Installing 0810"
and I modifed my "sources.list" to use my "deb http://192.168.0.35/ ./" instead of "deb http://deb.linuxmce.org/ubuntu/ interpid beta2"
when I run "apt-get update" on the test machine I get the following error " W: failed to fetch http://192.168.0.35/ ./Packages.gz 404 Not Found"
I can see "Packages.gz" on the builder machine under "/var/www"
Any ideas???

Users / [solved]"Update 2009-02-13 22765 "
« on: February 15, 2010, 08:52:46 pm »
Last night I updated my core from "Update 2010-02-10 22758 " to "Update 2009-02-13 22765" when I rebooted the system it got stuck at the prompt "Starting Core Services. Please be patient", looking at the DCErouter.log it looks the DCErouter died after loading the Game player plugin???

Any ideas what can cause the problem, I disconnected all the MDs from the router and the core still gets stuck in the same place??

Update:
Webadmin is ok
KDE desktop is Ok

Users / Phonebook searching
« on: January 23, 2010, 09:21:15 pm »
FYI, Using the latest 810 release, if you use a physical keyboard to search the phonebook nothing will happen till you use the orbiter QWERTY KEYBOARD with a mouse or a remote control.
Basically you can not search the phonebook using a physical keyboard only.

Users / Cisco 7970 with 810 beta2 (Update 2010-01-16 22689 )
« on: January 19, 2010, 07:27:53 am »
I just added my Cisco 7970 phone to my new installation "810 beta2 (Update 2010-01-16 22689 )", and I noticed that the phone can send and receive calls except the orbiter portion does not work, whatever I select on the screen it says "Requesting..." and nothing happens, any ideas ????

P.S. it was working fine in my previous 810 setup.

Here's what I found in the log file and it looks it is looping.

Users / Back to Beta 1
« on: December 19, 2009, 06:27:40 pm »
I'm sorry but Beta 2 is not for me, is there any way I can reinstall my core with Beta 1???
I've been using Beta 1 for a while without any major issues, but now as soon I updated to Beta 2 and reinstalling at least 4 times, I can not get my DNS-323 to work, beside the power down issue.

my big mistake is I didn't clone my Beta1 hard drive!!!

Users / problem in shutting down beta2
« on: December 17, 2009, 05:56:27 pm »
Everytime I want to restart or shutdown the Beta2 core, it goes as normal then it stops at the line :

"Stopping Avahi mDNS/DNS-SD Daemon avahi-daemon             OK"

This happens from the "web admin, or Power menu, or init 0"
Currently I only installed (SqueezeBox Receiver & SqueezeBox Boom) on the core.

Anyone experienced this problem?
