Users / create Bootable CD of ubuntu

Hi

How do I create a Bootable CD for linuxMCE from my installed version.

I did....

The folder contents following things.
i)initrd.img
ii)isolinux.bin
iii)isolinux.cfg
iv)linux (Kernel)
v)boot.cat

and I have created a iso file -- mkisofs -o /LMCE.iso -b isolinux.bin -c boot.cat -no-emul-boot -boot-load-size 4 -boot-info-table /isolinux

it returns only 8.9 mb where as it should return entire OS in 3.5 GB or so..

Thanks

« on: March 07, 2009, 09:24:47 am »
Hi,

My linux MCE system is not booting properly I mean getting stuck on 99% green bar.
the launcher has completed much of the tasks. the last task visible is
"the skin regeneration is successful" and again showing the green bar of 99 %.

Any suggestion how to recover from this scenario ?
how can I reinstall all orbitors from the package.

Thanks

yept..
downloaded foobar 2000
and geting your .oog files...

well also do let me know in the mean while that how far the folder
"root/user/pluto/orbiter/skins/Basic" is important I renamed and even removed it but it still
gets the Basic Orbiter Design ID #20. I don't know how it gets the images.
I reg all the orbiters also from pluto admin but it still gets the old BAsic images.

I know default is Basic.

Thanks

Hi,

I am not clear about how Hadesigner effects the skin of the core.
I have not been able to do that.
I changed the skin in HAdesigner which saves it in my sql but how the core gets the replaced image ofcource with the same name.

I was changing the exixting mnmenu i.e. design ID# 1255.
I added one skin too but again adding style was giving error on create.

what is the relation between Hadesigner + Style + skin + design ID and the CORE.

thanks

WOW !!! so easy for you.. cool look.

Thanks eNoodle did the same but couldn't see its effect. I selected the right skin id also.

any ways it is not even changing the Language of the existing Orbiter also.
if that is changed I hope new skin will also be visible.

Is it required to putting the new images folder in the core system also under /usr/pluto/orbiter/skins ?

:) Comercialisation is far from reality. Still working out the basics and can't figure out if possible at all.
yept thanks for the license info. thats natural. As a newbee to Linux 'am not confident of this platform.

linux_da, You mentioned before that you're doing this for commercial purposes. I hope you have a license with Pluto.

Developers / How to see changed skin with HAdesigner in Linux MCE core
« on: March 05, 2009, 07:51:10 am »
Hi,

Few images have been changed and a new skin is made with Hadesigner.
But how to the new skin in the core. we don't see its effect after regallorbiters.
and even core restart. Don't think its even included the HAdesigner help pdf.

Need to confirm where 'am  on right track.
do I have to rebuid or recompile i.e make in the core ?

somebody please guide.
