Mine always goes to a black screen after the splash screen and, from there, exits. Vizio VTAB1008 on Honeycomb. It doesn't matter which APK I use, market or website, same results. It used to work just fine with only the occasional crash.

I cleared out everything on Ministro, uninstalled, reinstalled, used the one from your website, used the one from the market, updated my skins, and now it gives me an error message stating that an error occurred as I load it. I can't recall the text of the error message (I know, my bad) but it was uninformative. I'll try hooking it up to a debugger and see if I can find out what is blowing up.

I currently have it hitting the splash screen then going black then going dropping out. No crash (Force Close or anything) is visible just a hard exit. I will try clearing out the data as mentioned above when I go home for lunch and I'll let you know then.

That is amazing news! I'll try to be around for this but I'm still unpacking. Just got my LinuxMCE system back online last night.

This is working much better on my VTAB1008. Not having many crashes now. I have a stupid question: How do I change skins? I was thinking about creating my own skin soon too.

its quiet. too quiet. whats going on guys?
cheers, golgoj4
Sorry, just bought a house. Packing. Computers aren't down though so I'll get my development environment up and running this weekend for this QOrbiter so that I can test better. I updated my Vizio VTAB1008 and it is much better. Far fewer crashes and the grids display more often than not now. I'll hook up my debugger to it and find out what exactly is crashing out ASAP then I'll send you a report.

Yes, those look like clickable buttons in that second one. Strip off the "buttons" and place slightly larger icons in their places. Both of them look like they have a harsh drop shadow on the selected menu item. The first one is really clean and nice. The second one has more visual interest. I hope that helps some.

Negative. It is a bare-metal hypervisor exactly as you said. However, the management console is a Windows application. You will completely wipe out anything on the host system with VSphere. I use my dedicated machine to host multiple VMs on including my LMCE (both 10.04 and 8.10). The advantage of doing this over what you are doing is that when (if) I get my configuration correct, I just promote it to run all the time and deprecate my other images. When I screw up my config, I only have to back it out just to my latest snapshot and continue from there.
There is nothing wrong with using VMWare Player for testing. It will work just fine for that. I lost a hard drive and had to reinstall anyway so I chose to go to a bare-metal hypervisor rather than native OS. I'm glad I did.
