Try purps@dcerouter or purps@192.168.80.1

Trying to use the name and IP of the remotehost simultaneously will not work.  Both 'dcerouter' and 192.168.80.1 refer to the address of the core.

If that does turn out to be the problem then this should be filed as a new trac ticket.  http://svn.linuxmce.org/trac.cgi/newticket

Anyone? Any download mirrors up yet?

The above torrent link works great with utorrent.  ~100 seeds.

This is also causing /usr/pluto/bin/Diskless_CreateTBZ.sh to error out long before finishing.

bump

Has there been any activity or progress with the Arduino?
622  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: Toronto... on: February 12, 2010, 03:05:03 pm
That's reasonably close.  Any familiarity with the home automation aspects specifically?

I've played a little with X10 and havn't had much success.  No fault of LMCE.  Interference on my power lines??  I suspect my new furnace with it's DC vari-speed drive is causing noise/interference on my electrical lines.  I have more investigating to do but my initial thoughts are to use something more reliable and to stay away from X10.  I have yet to pick up any Insteon or Zwave to test but I do plan on it in the near future.

I'm in Kingston, not quite 'get together for a coffee' distance but it's not unheard of...

I've been having the same problems as Coley.  I have had no luck getting the orbiter to run on the n900, it hangs after I press 'Start Orbiter'.  I havn't had time to look into it at all.  I created an orbiter the same way I do for the n800 which works great.

625  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: 810 beta 2 - UI2 Audio Navigation with keyboard and mouse on: February 09, 2010, 10:25:01 pm
The # of 'blue arrows' is dependent on how far down or up you move the mouse.  When you move the mouse to the lower or upper portion of the screen one arrow will appear, if you keep moving the mouse in the same direction (up or down) additional arrows will appear and the cube will rotate faster.

The quick select letters cannot be highlighted and selected with the keyboard, only the mouse.  The same functionality is available by simply pressing letter keys on the keyboard, the cube will jump to that letter as if you had clicked a letter with the mouse.  To rotate the cube with the keyboard you can use the PGUP and PGDN keys.

This functionality is the same for both Audio and Video lists.

626  LinuxMCE / Installation issues / Re: Can't access web admin on: February 01, 2010, 07:13:30 pm
The LMCE firewall will block access to the webadmin from outside the LMCE network.  You will have to open the port (80) in the firewall settings of LMCE in order to access the webadmin from outside the LMCE network.  This is done from the webadmin so you will have to make these changes from webadmin on a machine on the internal LMCE network (192.168.80.XX).  Then you should be able to access webadmin from your other machines (192.168.4.XX)

Your MDs must be wired.  Wireless MDs are not supported for many reasons so you willl need at least one cat5e to each MD location.  Your orbiters can all be wireless without problems.

Yes, each MD will need the preferences file.

Although using the DVD to install to an existing Kubuntu install is technically possible it would require re-work of the installation scripts.  You might want to attempt a internet install of the beta, which is meant to be installed on a fresh kubuntu 0810 installation.
